Thozha (2016 Film)
''Oopiri'' () is a 2016 Indian comedy-drama film directed by Vamshi Paidipally, and produced by PVP Cinema. The film stars Akkineni Nagarjuna, Karthi and Tamannaah while Prakash Raj, Vivek, Ali Basha, Jayasudha, Kalpana, Tanikella Bharani and Manobala play supporting roles. Karthi debuts in Telugu cinema through this film. The film focuses on the lives of Vikramaditya, a quadriplegic billionaire, and Seenu, his ex-convict caretaker. Their realisation of the primacy of life and relationships over money and disability forms the major part of its story. A remake of Olivier Nakache & Éric Toledano French film '' The Intouchables'' (2011), the film was simultaneously shot in Telugu and Tamil with the latter titled as ''Thozha'' (). Vamshi Paidipally
Paidipally Vamshidhar Rao (born 27 July 1979), better known as Vamshi Paidipally, is an Indian film director and screenwriter who works primarily in Telugu cinema. He is best known for directing mainstream film works such as '' Munna'' (2007), '' Brindavanam'' (2010), ''Yevadu'' (2014), ''Oopiri'' (2016), and ''Maharshi'' (2019). Tanikella Bharani (born 14 July 1954) is an Indian actor, screenwriter, poet, playwright and director who works predominantly in Telugu cinema.
