Thorvald Løchen
Thorvald Løchen (1861–1943) was a Norwegian civil servant and politician. He served as the County Governor of Nordre Trondhjems county from 1902 until 1916 and also as the County Governor of Hedmark county from 1916 until 1926. He received a cand.jur. degree in 1883, and then began to work in the Ministry of the Interior from 1891 to 1900. He was the chief executive of the Ministry of Agriculture from 1900 to 1902. After that he became the County Governor in Nordre Trondhjem county from 1902 to 1916; and then immediately after that, he was appointed as the County Governor of Hedmark county, a position he held from 1916 to 1926. During his time in Nordre Trondhjem county, the first part of the Nordlandsbanen railway line, then called the Hell-Sunnan line, was completed. Vang, Hedmark
Vang is a former municipality in the old Hedmark county, Norway. The municipality existed from 1838 until its dissolution in 1992 when it became part of Hamar Municipality. The administrative centre of the municipality was at Fredvang. This site, however became part of the town of Hamar in 1946, so after that time, the municipal administration was actually located outside the municipal borders in the neighboring municipality. The main church for the municipality was Vang Church in the village of Ridabu. Gåsbu Ski Center lies in Vang Almenning, and has served as the backup venue for the ''Holmenkollrennene''. This arena has been described as the cradle of all Nordic ski competition, with more than 112 years of international ski competition. The national cross-country skiing championship was last held here in 2002. Kunnskapsforlaget () is a Norwegian publishing company based in Oslo. Kunnskapsforlaget was established in 1975, as a partnership between H. Aschehoug & Co. (W. Nygaard) and Gyldendal Norsk Forlag. The purpose was to co-operate on publishing encyclopaedias and dictionaries. The first volume of Store norske leksikon (SNL) was published in 1978. A total of four editions was published (the last one in 2004), before the online version was transferred to Institusjonen Fritt Ord og Sparebankstiftelsen DnB in 2011. Kunnskapsforlaget is the largest dictionary publisher in Norway. They publish both printed books, and digital dictionaries that are available through the online service Ordnett (launched in 2004). Nordlandsbanen
The Nordland Line ( no, Nordlandsbanen, ) is a railway line between Trondheim and Bodø, Norway. It is the longest in Norway and lacks electrification. The route runs through the counties of Trøndelag (formerly Sør-Trøndelag and Nord-Trøndelag) and Nordland, carrying a combination of commuter, long-haul passenger and freight trains. From Trondheim Central Station to Steinkjer Station the line is most heavily used, with hourly services by the Trøndelag Commuter Rail. There are three branch lines—the Stavne–Leangen Line at Leangen Station, the Meråker Line at Hell Station and the Namsos Line at Grong Station. The section from Trondheim to Hell opened on 22 July 1882. The next section, initially the Hell–Sunnan Line, opened in stages between 1902 and 1905. The line was lengthened to Snåsa Station on 30 October 1926 and then to Grong on 30 November 1929. The ''Great Norwegian Encyclopedia'' ( no, Store Norske Leksikon, abbreviated ''SNL''), is a Norwegian-language online encyclopedia. The online encyclopedia is among the most-read Norwegian published sites, with more than two million unique visitors per month. Oslo
Oslo ( , , or ; sma, Oslove) is the capital and most populous city of Norway. It constitutes both a county and a municipality.
