Thornlie Railway Station
Thornlie Station is a railway station on the Transperth network. It is the terminus of the Thornlie spur of the Armadale Line, from Perth Station serving the suburb of Thornlie, Western Australia. Under construction is the Thornlie-Cockburn Link which will link to Cockburn Central railway station along the Mandurah line via two new stations, Nicholson Road railway station and Ranford Road railway station. History In December 1999, legislation was tabled by the Government of Western Australia to build the Southern Suburbs Railway from a junction with the Armadale line east of Beckenham Station passing beneath Albany Highway, Roe Highway and the Kwinana freight line via the Kewdale Tunnel, then paralleling the freight line south to Jandakot before continuing via the median strip of the Kwinana Freeway. Thornlie, Western Australia
Thornlie is a large residential suburb of Perth, the capital city of Western Australia, located south-east of the city's central business district. It is a part of the City of Gosnells local government area. The Canning River runs through the northern side of the suburb. Since the 1950s the suburb has developed in approximately five stages; north-east Thornlie (1950s–60s), south Thornlie (1970s–80s), Crestwood (1970s), Castle Glen (1980s) and Forest Lakes (1980s to present). History Captain Peter Pégus was the original settler of the area now known as Thornlie, which he had called "Coleraine" when granted the land in 1829. Jandakot is a southern suburb of Perth, Western Australia, located within the City of Cockburn local government area. It is best known for Jandakot Airport that is situated entirely within the suburb, the airport being "the busiest general aviation airport in Australia in terms of aircraft movements", the sixth-busiest civilian airport in Australia in the fiscal year ending 30 June 2018, and in the 2011 fiscal year even the busiest civilian airport in Australia. Gosnells Station
Gosnells station is a railway station on the South Western Railway 21 kilometres from Perth Station in the suburb of Gosnells. It is served by Armadale Line services which are part of the Transperth network. History The original Gosnells station opened in 1905. On 17 April 2005 a new station opened 300 metres further north as part of a improvement program to rejuvenate the town centre and create a new retail main street running in an east-west direction across the train line. Nicholson Road
Nicholson Road is a major north-south road in the southeastern suburbs of Perth, Western Australia, connecting Albany Highway in Cannington with the large residential areas of Thornlie and Canning Vale, before leaving the Perth urban area and terminating in Oakford. Murdoch Station
Murdoch railway station is a railway and bus station on the Transperth network. It is located on the Mandurah line, from Perth station inside the median strip of the Kwinana Freeway serving the suburb of Murdoch. History Murdoch railway station was designed to subsume the existing Murdoch Park 'n' Ride bus station located on the same site. The Park 'n' Ride was closed on 31 January 2007 to facilitate construction of the railway station. The contract for the construction of Murdoch railway station, along with Bull Creek railway station and Canning Bridge railway station, was awarded to John Holland Pty Ltd in November 2004. This contract was the first contract awarded for the construction of stations on the Southern Suburbs Railway project, and it had a value of $32 million. Murdoch University

St Georges Terrace
St Georges Terrace (colloquially known as "The Terrace") is the main street in the city of Perth, Western Australia. It runs parallel to the Swan River and forms the major arterial road through the central business district. Its western end is marked by the Barracks Arch near Parliament House across the Mitchell Freeway; the eastern end joins Adelaide Terrace at the intersection with Victoria Avenue. Naming St Georges Terrace was named after St George's Cathedral. Originally, houses occupied by clergy of the cathedral and lay clerks of the cathedral choir constituted a substantial portion of the Terrace. Westfield Carousel is an Australian shopping centre in the Perth suburb of Cannington. It is located approximately from Perth's central business district on the Albany Highway and approximately from Cannington railway station. Elizabeth Quay Bus Station, formerly the Esplanade Busport, is a Transperth bus station, located at the southern edge of the Perth CBD in Western Australia, next to the Perth Convention Exhibition Centre and Elizabeth Quay railway station. Cannington Station
Cannington Station is a railway station serving the suburb of Cannington south of Perth, Western Australia. It is located from Perth Station on the Armadale/Thornlie Line, part of the Transperth network. History The original Cannington station was located between Station Street and Crawford Road in East Cannington, and was one of the original stations operational when the Armadale Line opened in 1889. As part of the electrification of the line in the early 1990s, the original Cannington station was replaced by a new station to the north-west. Future As part of a Metronet project for several level crossing removals on the Armadale line, Cannington Station will be rebuilt as a new elevated station with island platforms, and a larger, 16 stand bus interchange underneath the station platforms. Transperth Trains
Transperth Train Operations is a division of the Public Transport Authority of Western Australia. It is responsible for operating Perth’s urban passenger rail system, as part of the Transperth network. Perth's passenger rail network covers of track with 90 stations on 8 lines across the city's greater metropolitan area. Over the last three decades the rail network has undergone rapid expansion. Between 1981 and 2016 the network tripled in route length and was electrified. The Northern Suburbs Railway was opened in 1993 and was progressively extended, while the new Mandurah Line was opened in 2007.
