The City of Loveland is the home rule municipality that is the second most populous municipality in Larimer County, Colorado, United States. Loveland is situated north of the Colorado State Capitol in Denver and is the 14th most populous city in Colorado. As of the 2020 census the population of Loveland was 76,378. The Town of Berthoud is a Statutory Town located in Larimer and Weld counties, Colorado, United States. The town population was 10,332 at the 2020 United States Census with 10,071 residing in Larimer County and 261 residing in Weld County. Berthoud is situated north of the Little Thompson River, south of Fort Collins and north of Denver in the Front Range Urban Corridor. Harold Ferguson High School
Ferguson High School (FHS), also known as Ferguson Alternative High School, is an alternative high school in Loveland, Colorado. A part of the Thompson School District, FHS normally serves 120 - 140 students. FHS is one of the oldest alternative, at-risk programs in the State of Colorado. History The idea for FHS came from Mr. Ferguson, then the Principal of Loveland High School, He realized that there was a need for many Loveland students to have an alternative choice. Founded more than one hundred years ago, it is the oldest high school in the district. The first class of graduates left the institution in 1894, and the most recent location was opened in 1964. Thompson Valley High School (TVHS) is located at 1669 Eagle Drive in Loveland, Colorado. Its mascot is the golden eagle. It is one of five high schools in the Thompson R2-J School District, along with Loveland High School (Colorado), Loveland High School, Mountain View High School (Colorado), Mountain View High School, Harold Ferguson High School, and Berthoud High School.
