''Thommanum Makkalum'' (English language, English: ''Thomman and Sons'') is a 2005 Indian Malayalam-language action comedy film directed by Shafi (director), Shafi, written by Benny P. Nayarambalam, and produced by Lal (actor), Lal under his production house Lal Creations. The film stars Mammootty, Lal, and Rajan P. Dev in the titular roles. Shafi remade the film in Tamil cinema as ''Majaa'' (2005). and in Kannada as ''Kaamannana Makkalu'' with Sudeep. Plot The movie revolves around Thomman, who is a thief, and his two sons, Shivan and Sathyan. The story begins when they decide to mend their ways and lead a hardworking life. They own a lorry now and want to find work. Their lorry breaks down near Udumalpet. There the twists start. Sathyan steals some food from Panicker's house. M. L. Varghese (1960 – 3 February 2011), popularly known by stage name Machan Varghese, was a Malayalam film actor and mimicry artist. He started his career as a mimicry artist in Kalabhavan (house of arts) and debuted as an actor through ''Kabooliwala''. Kalasala Babu (1950 14 May 2018) was an Indian actor who performed on stage, and in television serials and films. On stage Babu had been acting in radio plays while at college. Following his graduation in 1973, Babu acted in ''Paanchajanyam'', yielding a good performance. Babu acted at Kalidasa Kala Kendram for two years, and was offered roles by the late O. Madhavan and K.
