Thomas Mavros
Thomas Mavros ( el, Θωμάς Μαύρος, born 31 May 1954) is a Greek former international football player who played as a striker. He was "the flag" of AEK Athens, that led the club to huge success, during the 70's and 80's. Mavros is regarded as one of the best players to play club football in Greece having scored a record number of 260 goals in the Greek championship and played for the World XI in 1984. In 2012 he also served as the president of AEK Athens. His nickname was ''"The God"'' ''( el, Θεός)'', or "Theomas" ''( el, "Θεωμάς")''. Kostas Nestoridis
Kostas Nestoridis ( el, Κώστας Νεστορίδης, born 15 March 1930) is a Greek former professional footballer, who played as a forward and a former manager. He is amongst the best players in the history of AEK Athens and one of the greatest ever players and scorers in Greek football. Early life Κostas Nestoridis was born on 15 March 1930 in Drama and was the youngest of three children of the Pontian Greek Giorgos and Kyriaki who arrived in Thrace as refugees after the Asia Minor disaster. Loukas Barlos
Loukas Barlos ( el, Λουκάς Μπάρλος; 1920 – 20 October 1999) was a Greek businessman who served as the twenty third president of AEK Athens F.C. from 1974 until 1981. Early life Barlos was born and raised in Thessaloniki, but his place of origin was Distomo in Boeotia. As a youngster, he was a supporter of Aris and even tried out with the club. He was the owner of bauxite factories and other mining enterprises. 1971–72 UEFA Cup
The 1971–72 UEFA Cup was the inaugural year of the UEFA Cup (now known as the UEFA Europa League), which effectively replaced the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup. It was won by English side Tottenham Hotspur F.C., Tottenham Hotspur over their countrymen Wolverhampton Wanderers F.C., Wolverhampton Wanderers 3–2 on aggregate after a two-legged final. Joe Mallett
Joseph Mallett (8 January 1916 – 8 February 2004) was an English professional footballer who spent much of his early playing career at Queens Park Rangers and subsequently at Southampton (playing as a wing half). He later became a coach, manager and scout. Playing career Born in Gateshead, Mallett was spotted playing for the Dunston Colliery works team by a London scout, and was signed at the age of seventeen by Charlton Athletic to serve his apprenticeship under manager Jimmy Seed. Dezső Bundzsák (3 May 1928 – 1 October 2010) was a Hungarian football player and coach. Bundzsák played as a striker or midfielder at both professional and international levels, before becoming a coach who worked throughout Europe and Africa. Career Playing career Born in Kiskunhalas, Bundzsák began his professional career in 1950 with Vasas SC. Bundzsák spent 14 seasons with the club, scoring 73 goals in 249 games. Elias Yfantis ( el, Ηλίας Υφαντής; born 29 July 1936) is a Greek former professional football player who played as a striker and a later manager of Olympiacos. Nea Smyrni
Nea Smyrni ( el, Νέα Σμύρνη, ''Néa Smýrni'', "New Smyrna") is a municipality in South Athens, Greece. At the 2011 census, it had 73,076 inhabitants.
