Thomas Jarmoc
Thomas Jarmoc (born April 19, 1987) is a Canadian volleyball player of Polish origins. Personal life Jarmoc was born in Calgary, Alberta. His parents are Poles. They emigrated from Poland before the birth of their children. He speaks Polish well and was his first language. Jarmoc's father is a former basketball player, mother is a former representative of Poland in high jump. Jarmoc has two younger sisters - Caroline and Patrycja, who are also a volleyball player. Career Clubs He started playing volleyball in the team of the University of Alberta. As a professional player debuted in Greek club AEK Athens. In 2011 moved to VfB Friedrichshafen. He won with club from Friedrichshafen German Cup 2012. Season 2012/2013 spent in VC Euphony Asse-Lennik and moved to Polish club Jastrzębski Węgiel in 2013. The CEV Champions League is the top official competition for men's volleyball clubs from the whole of Europe. The competition is organised every year by the European Volleyball Confederation. Formula (2018–19 to present) Qualification A total of 20 teams participate in the main competition, with 18 teams being allocated direct vacancies on the basis of ranking list for European Cup Competitions, and 2 teams from the qualification rounds. League round 20 teams take part in the League round where they are split in to 5 groups. The 2013–14 CEV Champions League was the 55th edition of the highest level European volleyball club competition organised by the European Volleyball Confederation. Participating teams League round 28 teams have been drawn to 7 pools of 4 teams each. In each pool, the competition is organised on the basis of a double round-robin system. Each team will thus play 6 matches: twice against each opponent.
