Thomas Helms Verlag
The Thomas Helms Verlag is a specialist publisher for North German culture, monument preservation, local and regional history, history, church and art history and is based in Schwerin in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. History In 1994, the publishing house was founded by the Schwerin photographer Thomas Helms who by then had already created the illustrations for many books. Bodo Von Dewitz
Bodo Balthasar von Dewitz (11 April 1950 – 17 November 2017) was a German art historian. His work focused on historical photography. Life was born in Göttingen. After starting a commercial apprenticeship in the art trade, he studied German, history and education in Hamburg from 1971 to 1976. After the Staatsexamen, he studied art history in Berlin and Hamburg from 1977 to 1985, graduating with a doctorate (Dr. phil.) under Martin Warnke. While still a student, he inventoried the daguerreotype collection at the Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe Hamburg. In 1985, he took over the management of the in the Wallraf-Richartz-Museum/Museum Ludwig in Cologne. He later became head of the photographic collections and deputy director of the Museum Ludwig. Dewitz retired in spring 2013. In 2004, the Faculty of Philosophy of the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn, where he had been teaching since 1989, awarded him the title of Honorary Professor. Manfred Schukowski (born 16 January 1928) is a German academic teacher and author of works on astronomical clocks. Life Schukowski grew up in Stralsund where he was born and attended school there from 1934 to 1944. In 1945, he became a sailor on the . After the Second World War, he worked as a Neulehrer, from 1946 at the central school in Koblentz and from 1947 to 1949 at the school in Negast. In 1948, he passed the first teacher's examination, and from 1949 to 1950 he took the subject course in mathematics/physics at the Diesterweg Institute for Teacher Training in Putbus. He passed the Second Teacher's Examination in 1950 and was a teacher of mathematics and physics at the Torgelow secondary school from 1950 to 1953. Ernst Münch (26 November 1876 – 9 October 1946) was a German plant physiologist who proposed the pressure flow hypothesis in 1930. He studied in Aschaffenburg, and then in Munich with Robert Hartig.
