Marcus Vetter
Marcus Attila Vetter (* 1967 in Stuttgart) is a German documentary filmmaker. Life and career Vetter was born to a Turkish father, Cahit Cubuk, and a German mother. After studying in Worms, Buenos Aires and Madrid (with a focus on European Business Management among others) Vetter started working as a trainee at the production company Bavaria Film in Munich and graduated in Media Studies and Practice at the University of Tübingen in 1994. International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam
The International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam (IDFA) is the world's largest documentary film festival held annually since 1988 in Amsterdam. Over a period of twelve days, it has screened more than 300 films and sold more than 250,000 tickets. Visitors to the festival have increased from 65,000 in 2000 to 285,000 in 2018. The festival is an independent, international meeting place for audiences and professionals to see a diverse (in form, content, and cultural background) program of high-quality documentaries. The Hof International Filmfestival is a German film festival that takes place in Hof, Bavaria, every year in October. Apart from numerous foreign productions, the main focus traditionally is on German films. During six festival days, about 130 films (80 feature and documentary films as well as 50 short films) are shown in 8 theaters of 2 cinema centers, adding up to a total of 200 individual film presentations. With the exception of the retrospective, all films are German or world premieres.
