Thomas Galligan
Thomas Galligan (born 15 September 1996) is an Irish Gaelic footballer who plays for the Cavan county team. He plays his club football with Lacken. Playing career College Galligan went to school at St Patrick's College in Cavan. Galligan starred in the 2015 season as St Pat's reached their first MacRory Cup final since 1975. On 17 March 2015, Galligan started in midfield in the final against St Patrick's Academy, Dungannon. Galligan scored two points as Cavan were winners by 2–12 to 0–8. He also received the man of the match award. Galligan played in the Hogan Cup semi-final against PBS Chorca Dhuibhne, where St Pat's suffered a three-point loss. Club Galligan has played with Lacken from a young age. He has yet to win a championship medal at senior level. Lacken Celtic GFC
Lacken are a Gaelic football club from County Cavan in Ireland. They are affiliated to Cavan GAA. History Lacken Celtic GFC was formed in the 1890s by men who returned from working overseas in Scotland. The club got its name in honour of the Glasgow Celtic Soccer Club and the team wore the green and white jerseys synonymous with the Celtic club. At the time, the home pitch was known as "The Green" and was located on the banks of the River Erne (beside Scarvey Bridge, Corlismore). The club did go out of existence however for a few years before being reformed in 1907. 1908 Senior Championship The GAA was only in existence for 24 years when Lacken won their first and only senior championship. 2020 Ulster Senior Football Championship
The 2020 Ulster Senior Football Championship is the 132nd installment of the annual Ulster Senior Football Championship organised by Ulster GAA. It is one of the four provincial competitions of the 2020 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship. The winners receive the Anglo-Celt Cup. The draw for the championship was made on 9 October 2019. The BBC showed six televised games live. The Athletic Grounds in Armagh hosted the final, as the fixture was behind closed doors. Ulster Senior Football Championship
The Ulster Senior Football Championship is an inter-county competition for Gaelic football teams in the province of Ulster. It is organised by the Ulster Council of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) and begins in early May. The final is usually played on the third Sunday in July. All nine Ulster counties participate. It is regarded as hardest to win of the four provincial football championships. At a referee conference in January 2015, David Coldrick said about officiating in the competition: "Ulster makes or breaks you. It can be a graveyard. The games are different. There is an extra dimension and intensity, and you must be at your best. If you aren't prepared physically and mentally, the chances are you will be caught out. Ronan O'Toole
Ronan O'Toole is a Gaelic footballer for St Loman's and Westmeath. He was a member of the team that defeated Dublin at Parnell Park in the 2019 O'Byrne Cup final, his county's first time to win that trophy since 1988. He won his second piece of silverware of 2019 when Westmeath won the 2019 National Football League Division 3 league title by a goal against Laois at Croke Park, O'Toole scored 0–2. He was man of the match in the 2022 Tailteann Cup Final. He scored five points from play and was nominated for Footballer of the Week on GAA.ie. O'Toole was also involved in the game's turning point when Cavan's Tomás Galligan charged at him with his shoulder and hit him straight into the face. The Tailteann Cup is a second tier Gaelic football championship competition held annually since 2022 and organised by the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA). It is contested by those county teams who do not qualify for the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship and the winner is awarded the Tailteann Cup.
