Here and Now is a daily Canadian radio show, which airs on CBLA-FM in Toronto, Ontario. Under CBC Radio One's policy of extended local programming in metropolitan markets, the program airs from 3 to 6 p.m. on CBLA's primary transmitter in Toronto, pre-empting the 3 to 4 p.m. hour of network programming. ''Sounds Like Canada'' was a Canadian radio program, which aired weekday mornings on CBC Radio One from 2002 to 2008. Until the end of May 2008, the program was hosted by the award-winning broadcaster Shelagh Rogers, and in the summers by a rotating series of guest hosts. The program was broadcast from Vancouver, and aired programming which covered cultural and human interest stories relevant to Canadians. Jian Ghomeshi, Jim Brown, Rick Cluff, Kevin Sylvester, Kathryn Gretsinger and Bill Richardson acted as guest hosts. ''The Current'' is a Canadian current affairs radio program which airs weekday mornings on CBC Radio One. It airs weekdays starting at 8:37 a.m. local time and runs until 10 a.m., and features interview sessions and radio documentaries that typically take up a half hour each. History The program premiered in 2002, and was hosted from its inception by investigative journalist Anna Maria Tremonti. Tremonti retired from the program in June 2019. Laura Lynch served as interim host until the end of 2019, and Matt Galloway took over as the program's new permanent host effective January 6, 2020. The Atlantic Time Zone is a geographical region that keeps standard time—called Atlantic Standard Time (AST)—by subtracting four hours from Coordinated Universal Time ( UTC), resulting in UTC−04:00. World Trade Center (1973–2001)
The original World Trade Center (WTC) was a large complex of seven buildings in the Financial District of Lower Manhattan in New York City. It opened on April 4, 1973, and was destroyed in 2001 during the September 11 attacks. The September 11 attacks, commonly known as 9/11, were four coordinated suicide terrorist attacks carried out by al-Qaeda against the United States on Tuesday, September 11, 2001.
