''This Man'' is the first studio album by Canadian country rock artist Cory Marks. It was released on May 26, 2015 through Big Star Recordings. Background Marks released his debut Canadian country radio single "Smartphone" in July 2014. The track was one of eight tracks that he co-wrote on the album. Marks co-wrote these tracks during writing trips to Nashville Nashville is the capital city of the U.S. state of Tennessee and the seat of Davidson County. Cory Gerald Joseph Marquardt (born October 11, 1989) is a Canadian country rock singer-songwriter, drummer, actor and former ice hockey player better known by his stage name Cory Marks. He is signed to Better Noise Music. He has released two albums, ''This Man'' in 2015 under Big Star Recordings and most recently '' Who I Am'' in 2020 under Better Noise. Since the release the album has accumulated over 100 million streams globally with his debut single " Outlaws & Outsiders" being certified gold in Canada and reaching top 10 at US rock radio, making Marks the first to ever do so as a Canadian country act. Eric Thomas Paslay (born January 29, 1983) is an American country music singer and songwriter. He has released one album for EMI Nashville, which contains the hit singles " Friday Night", " Song About a Girl", and " She Don't Love You". Liz Hengber (born August 22, 1959) is an American songwriter and musician based in Nashville, Tennessee. Hengber was born in Brooklyn, New York, and graduated from New Milford High School in New Milford, New Jersey in 1977. She graduated from the Theatre Department of the C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University in 1981. Hengber began her song-writing career after moving to Nashville, where she initially worked at the Bluebird Cafe as a waitress.
