Theodor Broch
Peter Theodor Broch (27 January 1904 – 26 April 1998) was a Norwegian lawyer and politician for the Labour Party. He was born in Kristiania as a son of Colonel Ole Jacob Broch (1875–1963) and housewife Henny Salvesen (1877–1957). He was a nephew of the professor of medicine, Ole Jacob Broch (1907–1995). He enrolled as a student in 1922. He participated in the Left Communist Youth League's military strike action of 1924. He was convicted for assisting in this crime and sentenced to 90 of probation. He graduated with the cand.jur. degree in 1928, and worked as an attorney in Oslo from 1929 to 1930. At that time he had been a writer for the periodical ''Mot Dag'' from 1923 to 1930. From 1930 to 1940 and 1945 to 1950 he worked as an attorney in Narvik. He was the mayor of Narvik from 1934 to 1946, except for the period 1940 to 1945 when Norway was occupied by Germany. Schei Committee
The Schei Committee ( no, Schei-komitéen) was a committee named by the Government of Norway to look into the organization of municipalities in Norway post-World War II. It convened in 1946, and its formal name was (The 1946 Committee on Municipal Division). Its more commonly used name derives from the committee leader, Nikolai Schei Nikolai Andreas Schei (9 May 1901 – 25 May 1985) was a Norwegian jurist and civil servant. He was born in Førde as the son of Per Schei (1872–1960) and Johanne Schei (1874–1963). Lars Oftedal Broch
Lars Oftedal Broch (1 January 1939 – 11 November 2017) was a Norwegian judge. He graduated as cand.jur. from the University of Oslo in 1965, and worked as consultant in the Ministry of Justice and the Police from 1965, worked under the Norwegian Consumer Ombudsman from 1971, as deputy under-secretary of State in the Ministry of Justice from 1972, as president of the International Organisation of Consumers Unions from 1983 to 1987. From 1989 to 1996 he was the director of the Norwegian National Authority for the Investigation and Prosecution of Economic and Environmental Crime, and from 1996 to 2008 he was a Supreme Court Justice. He was a member of the Labour Party, but as a member of ''Sosialistisk Studentlag'' in 1958 took part in the so-called "Easter Uprising". Tønsberg
Tønsberg , historically Tunsberg, is a city and municipality in Vestfold og Telemark county, eastern Norway, located around south-southwest of Oslo on the western coast of the Oslofjord near its mouth onto the Skagerrak.
