Themelthorpe
Themelthorpe is a civil parish in the English county of Norfolk, north west of Reepham. It covers an area of and had a population of 65 in 27 households at the 2001 census. For the purposes of local government, it falls within the district of Broadland. Themelthorpe Curve The Themelthorpe Curve was built to join two separate stretches of railway, the section from Themelthorpe to Norwich which built in 1882 by the Midland and Great Northern Joint Railway and the line from Themelthorpe to Aylsham, completed in 1883 by the Great Eastern Railway. This section was to be the final section of railway track built in Norfolk by British Rail and was the sharpest curve in the whole of the British rail network. It was opened in 1960 to shorten the route of freight trains carrying concrete products running from a terminal at Lenwade, and was closed by 1985. Marriott's Way
The Marriott's Way is a long-distance footpath, cycle-path and bridleway in north Norfolk, England, between Norwich and Aylsham via Themelthorpe. It forms part of the National Cycle Network (NCN) (Route 1) and the red route of Norwich's Pedalways cycle path network. It is open to walkers, cyclists and horse riders. Its total length is 24.6 miles (39.5 km). It has a mixture of surfaces: tarmac, compacted gravel and earth. The name of the route originates from the chief engineer and manager of the Midland and Great Northern Joint Railway (M&GNJR), William Marriott, who held the position for 41 years.Marriott's Way

Midland And Great Northern Joint Railway
The Midland and Great Northern Joint Railway (M&GNJR) was a railway network in England, in the area connecting southern Lincolnshire, the Isle of Ely and north Norfolk. It developed from several local independent concerns and was incorporated in 1893. It was jointly owned by the Midland Railway and the Great Northern Railway, and those companies had long sponsored and operated the predecessor companies. The area directly served was agricultural and sparsely populated, but seaside holidays had developed and the M&GNJR ran many long-distance express trains to and from the territory of the parent companies, as well as summer local trains for holidaymakers. Great Eastern Railway
The Great Eastern Railway (GER) was a pre-grouping British railway company, whose main line linked London Liverpool Street to Norwich and which had other lines through East Anglia. The company was grouped into the London and North Eastern Railway in 1923. Lenwade Railway Station
Lenwade railway station was a railway station in North Norfolk, England. It was built by the Lynn and Fakenham Railway Company in 1882 and taken over by the Midland and Great Northern Joint Railway (M&GNJR) in 1893, to serve the small hamlet of Lenwade.
