The Witch (album)
''The Witch'' is the second album by Ambar, and collaboration between actress and singer María Conchita Alonso and Italian people, Italo–Venezuelan producer Rudy La Scala. It was released in 1980 and was their second and final collaboration. Like its predecessor, the album ''Love Maniac album, Love Maniac'', it was recorded in English. However, trends were already starting to change and the popularity of disco from the 1970s was ending, so this album is less dance-oriented and it leans more towards Rock music, rock. Alonso reinvented her image for this release, dressing as a Romani people, gypsy for promotional appearances. That imagery, together with the album title and her reputation for wildness in the media fueled rumors about her being a Satanism, Satan worshipper in the Tabloid (newspaper format), tabloids. María Conchita Alonso
María Concepción Alonso Bustillo (born June 29, 1957), better known as María Conchita Alonso, is a singer, actress and former beauty queen. She has participated in film and television productions, and was nominated for the Independent Spirit Awards, Independent Spirit Award as Independent Spirit Award for Best Female Lead, Best Leading Actress in 1996 for her role in ''Caught (1996 film), Caught''. As a singer, she has received several gold and platinum records, and has been nominated for three Grammy Awards. Rudy La Scala
Rudy La Scala (born January 20, 1954) is a singer-songwriter and record producer, born in Rocca di Papa, Lazio, Italy. At a young age, La Scala migrated to Venezuela, where he completed his primary and secondary studies, while learning piano and guitar. He began his career with a short lived band named Las Explosiones de Goma in the 1960s. In 1971 he was presented as a solo artist under the name Flavio, finally presenting himself as Rudy La Scala in 1974.
