The Week In Jams
''The Week in Jams'' (a re branded version of '' Sucker Free Countdown''), is MTV2's sole hip-hop video block. Its a 2-hour top 15 countdown, it aired on Sundays at 11AM ET/PT and 11PM ET/PT. Hosted by DJ Envy, Charlamagne Tha God, and Sofi Green. The series was canceled on May 26, 2013. History On October 11, 2012, MTV announced they would expand and unify its hip hop music and lifestyle programming and content across all of its multiple channels and screens under the MTV Jams brand name. The move effectively extends the MTV Jams brand from a 24-hour digital channel to now touch all MTV properties. They also announced they would be relaunching the MTV2 music video countdown known as '' Sucker Free Countdown''. Lenard Larry McKelvey (born June 29, 1978), known professionally as Charlamagne tha God or simply Charlamagne, is an American radio host and television personality. He is a co-host of the nationally syndicated radio show ''The Breakfast Club'' with DJ Envy; whom he was inducted into the Radio Hall of Fame with in 2020 for their work on the show. He also hosts the late-night talk show ''Hell of A Week with Charlamagne Tha God'' on Comedy Central. MTV2
MTV2 (formerly M2) is an American pay television Cable television, channel owned by the Paramount Media Networks division of Paramount Global. The channel launched initially as an all-music video service, once the original MTV had started to shift its programming. As with its parent network, MTV2's focus on music programming would gradually be downplayed during the 2000s. By 2011, MTV2 would primarily target young adult men with original and acquired lifestyle and reality programming, reruns of male-targeting shows from MTV, acquired sitcoms and movies, and a daily block of Hip hop music, hip hop and Rock music, rock genre videos in the early mornings. ''Guy Code'' is an American reality comedy television series on MTV2. The series debuted on November 15, 2011, and features various pop culture entertainers, top comics, athletes, and specialized experts who tell the story of the special code of conduct that exists between straight men. On September 26, 2012, MTV2 announced that series' second season delivered the highest-rated and most-watched original series in MTV2 history. MTV (Originally an initialism of Music Television) is an American cable channel that launched on August 1, 1981.
