Clément Cogitore
Clément Cogitore (born 27 August 1983) is a French contemporary artist and filmmaker. Combining film, video, installations and photographs, Cogitore questions the modalities of cohabitation between humankind and its own images and representations. Early life and studies Clément Cogitore grew up in Lapoutroie, in eastern France (Upper Rhine). Studying in Strasbourg at the Academy of Applied Arts and then at Le Fresnoy - Studio national des arts contemporains (French National Studio of Contemporary Art), Clément Cogitore developed his artistic practice at the crossroads of contemporary art and cinema. His brother, Romain Cogitore, is also a film director. Louis Delluc Prize
The Louis Delluc Prize (french: Prix Louis-Delluc ) is a French film award presented annually since 1937. The award is bestowed to the Best Film and Best First Film of the year on the second week of each December. The jury is composed of 20 members, consisting of a group of film critics and figures who are culturally significant. Gilles Jacob is the president. The meeting is at ''le Fouquet's'' restaurant in Champs-Élysées. The award was created in 1937 in view of the decision of the Académie française to award its Grand Prix du Cinema to films that were created by French filmmakers. Twenty-four film critics including Maurice Bessy and Marcel Idzkowski established the prize to honor Louis Delluc (1890–1924), the first French journalist to specialize in cinema and founder of the ciné-clubs. The French Syndicate of Cinema Critics (french: Syndicat français de la critique de cinéma et des films de télévision) has, each year since 1946, awarded a prize (" Prix de la critique", English: "Critics Prize"), the Prix Méliès, to the best French film of the preceding year.
