The Voice Of Bulgaria
''The Voice of Bulgaria'' (Bulgarian: ''Гласът на България'', transcribed as ''Glasat na Bulgaria'') is a Bulgarian reality singing competition and local version of ''The Voice of Holland''. Its first season was held in the summer of 2011 on bTV. One of the show's important premises is the singing talent's quality. Four coaches (popular performing artists) train the talents in their group and occasionally perform with them. Talents are selected in blind auditions, where the coaches cannot see, but only hear the auditioner. The first season started airing on 18 July 2011 and ended on 24th October 2011. Until now, this show has aired for nine seasons. In July 2021, btv announced the eighth season, which aired in the fall of 2021, with Ivan Lechev return as a coach, with new coaches Dara, Galena and Lubo Kirov. Darina Nikolaeva Yotova ( bg, Дарина Николаева Йотова, born 9 September 1998), better known by her stage name Dara (), is a Bulgarian pop singer, who rose to fame in late 2015 after reaching the final in the Bulgarian edition of ''The X Factor''. She is currently signed to Virginia Records, and in 2016 she released her debut single "K'vo ne chu" under the label. Stefan Kostadinov Valdobrev ( bg, Стефан Костадинов Вълдобрев; born 20 May 1970) is a Bulgarian actor, film/theatre composer, singer-songwriter and filmmaker. He received classical training at the National Academy of Theatre and Film Arts in Sofia. Valdobrev rose to prominence in the early 1990s, mainly with his hit songs, which made him extremely popular and gained him idol status on the Bulgarian music scene, twice being awarded as best male artist at the National Music Television ceremonies. The ninth season of Bulgarian singing reality competition ''Glasat na Bulgaria'' premiered on 4 September 2022. The show is broadcast by bTV on Sundays, starting at 8 pm. The four coaches from previous season, Ivan Lechev, Galena, Lubo Kirov and Dara returned for another season. Jacklyn Tarracki was crowned the "voice", marking Dara’s first win as a coach. Bulgaria In The Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2016
Bulgaria participated in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2016. Their entrant was selected through the televised national selection "Decata na Bulgaria sa super", organised by the Bulgarian broadcaster Bulgarian National Television (BNT). Lidia Ganeva won the national selection and she got the right to represent Bulgaria in the contest. Ganeva performed the song "Magical Day (Valsheben den)" at the contest. In the final, Bulgaria performed in position 6 and placed 9th out of the 17 participating countries, scoring 161 points. The Voice Of Bulgaria (season 7)
The seventh season of Bulgarian reality singing competition ''Glasat na Bulgaria'' premiered on February 23, 2020, and broadcast at 20:00 every Sunday until June 14, 2020, on bTV. Kamelia, Grafa Ampov, Ivan Lechev returned for their fourth season as coaches on the show while Mihaela Fileva returned for her second season. Georgi Shopov from team Lechev was crowned as the "voice" of Bulgaria. The sixth season of Bulgarian reality singing competition ''Glasat na Bulgaria'' premiered on February 24, 2019, and broadcasts at 20:00 every Sunday from Bilnd Auditions to Knockouts and Saturdays during the Live Shows on bTV. Kamelia, Grafa, Ivan Lechev returned for their third season as the coaches of the show and joined by Mihaela Fileva for its first season, replacing Poli Genova. The eighth season of Bulgarian reality singing competition '' The Voice of Bulgaria'' premiered on 12 September 2021 and broadcasts every 20:00, at bTV. For this season, Ivan Lechev returned for his coaching duties for the fifth time, and three new coaches were announced, who include Lubo Kirov, Galena, and Dara who will replace Grafa Ampov, Kamelia and Mihaela Fileva. Petya Paneva was crowned ''The Voice of Bulgaria'', marking Galena’s first win as a coach. bTV is the first private nationwide television channel in Bulgaria. It is operated by bTV Media Group, as part of Central European Media Enterprises, and is reportedly the Bulgarian television channel with the largest viewing audience.
