The Ultimate Live Experience
The Ultimate Live Experience was a European concert tour that was mostly in the United Kingdom that was through the month of March 1995. This tour was to promote the soon-to-be The Gold Experience that was released in September later than year. Much of the setlist was from Gold Experience and there was also Come and Exodus material. However, he did say that he wouldn't not perform his Prince stuff from 1978 to early 1993. However, he did perform "I Love U in Me" and " 7" with some covers. An extension of the tour known as the Gold Tour was launched in 1996. The concerts featured mainly songs from the album, but also started adding prior Prince fan favorites. He had much new music written but then record company Warner Brothers refused to release it at the speed that Prince wished, leading to public feuding. ''Millennium'' is the sixteenth studio album by American band Earth, Wind & Fire released in September 1993 on Warner Bros. Records. The album reached No. 8 on the US ''Billboard'' Top R&B Albums chart, No. 39 on the US Billboard 200, No. 18 on the Japanese Pop Albums chart and No. 29 on the Dutch Album Top 100. "Get Wild" is a song by the New Power Generation, and the first single from their 1995 album, ''Exodus''. The song was a hit in the UK, reaching number 19 in the UK Singles Chart. "Get Wild" is a funk song, in the style of Parliament and Funkadelic. The lead vocals are by Sonny T., Prince who delivers a rap during the bridge, and some Spanish vocals are provided by Mayte. A maxi-single was released with several remixes of the song. A remix of "Get Wild" was played in the 1994 film, ''Prêt-à-Porter'' and was included on the soundtrack album. "Pink Cashmere" is a song by American musician Prince, released as a single from his 1993 compilations, '' The Hits 2'' and ''The Hits/The B-Sides''. In the US, the B-side was the 1978 track, "Soft and Wet", while Germany backed the song with the William Orbit remix of " The Future", originally issued as a single in 1990. In addition, Germany issued a 12" single and CD single for "Pink Cashmere". "Letitgo" is a song by American musician Prince from his fifteenth studio album, ''Come'' (1994). Despite statements that the album consisted entirely of "old" material, "Letitgo" was actually newly composed for the album. The mid-tempo song relies heavily on a drum machine pattern and bass guitar with synthesizers in the refrain. A keyboard and percussion solo appear toward the end. The song is sung in falsetto in unison with another track layered in his regular, lower register. Kathleen Bradford provides backing vocals, while Eric Leeds provides flute accompaniment. ''Goldnigga'' is the first studio album by the New Power Generation. It was only made available for sale at some concert venue merchandise stalls on tour in 1993, through Prince's 1-800-NEW-FUNK telephone retail outlet, and at Paisley Park during the 2001 Celebration. It was also sold in Prince's own, now defunct, retail outlets. It is long out of print, thus very scarce and can fetch high prices second-hand. The track "Guess Who's Knockin'" referenced Paul McCartney's "Let 'Em In" without credit. Probably to avoid any legal difficulties, the track was removed from second and subsequent pressings, making initial copies of the album even more highly sought after.
