The Tren Brothers
The Tren Brothers are an Australian instrumental rock duo, consisting of guitarist Mick Turner and drummer Jim White. Turner and White are two-thirds of the critically acclaimed instrumental rock trio Dirty Three; additionally, Turner also is a solo recording artist working under his own name. In addition to their own recordings, the duo served as Cat Power's band on her breakthrough album Moon Pix, as well as Will Oldham's band on the Western Music EP. Melbourne ( ; Boonwurrung/Woiwurrung: ''Narrm'' or ''Naarm'') is the capital and most populous city of the Australian state of Victoria, and the second-most populous city in both Australia and Oceania. Will Oldham
Joseph Will Oldham (born January 15, 1970) is an American singer-songwriter and actor. From 1993 to 1997, he performed and recorded in collaboration with dozens of other musicians under variations of Palace (Palace, Palace Flophouse, Palace Brothers, Palace Songs, and Palace Music). After briefly publishing music under his own name, in 1998 he adopted Bonnie "Prince" Billy as the name for most of his work. Early life and education Oldham was born on January 15, 1970, in Louisville, Kentucky. His mother, Joanne Lei Will Tafel Oldham, was a teacher and artist. His father, Joseph Collins Oldham, was an attorney and photographer. Oldham graduated from the J. Graham Brown School in 1988. Blue Trees
Blue is one of the three primary colours in the RYB colour model (traditional colour theory), as well as in the RGB (additive) colour model. It lies between violet and cyan on the spectrum of visible light. The eye perceives blue when observing light with a dominant wavelength between approximately 450 and 495 nanometres. Most blues contain a slight mixture of other colours; azure contains some green, while ultramarine contains some violet. Bridezilla (band)
Bridezilla were a band from Sydney, Australia formed in 2005, during their early years of High School. They played their farewell show at the Oxford Arts Factory on 16 January 2013. The band composed of vocalist Holiday Sidewinder, Pia May, the band's guitarist, Millie Hall on Saxophone, Daisy Tulley on violin, and drummer Josh Bush. In September 2007, the band signed with Ivy League Records and released their debut EP on 24 November 2007. In February 2009, they signed to Inertia (independent record company) with in-house label Inertia Recordings, and released their debut full-length album ''The First Dance'' on 30 October 2009. Chapter Music is one of Australia's longest-running independent record labels. Chapter Music has worked with a broad range of mostly Australian artists, in genres such as rock and roll, indie pop, post punk, country and western and folk. ''Moon Pix'' is the fourth album by Cat Power, the stage name and eponymous band of American singer-songwriter, Chan Marshall. It was released in September 1998 on Matador Records. Much of the album was written in a single night, following a hallucinatory nightmare Marshall experienced while staying at a farmhouse in South Carolina. Prior to that, Marshall had intended to retire from music. The album was recorded in Melbourne, Australia with Mick Turner and Jim White, of the Australian instrumental band Dirty Three, on guitar and drums, respectively.
