The Three-Body Problem (TV Series)
''3 Body Problem'' is an upcoming science fiction television series created by David Benioff, D. B. Weiss and Alexander Woo based on the novel of the same name by Liu Cixin. The series is expected to premiere on Netflix in January 2024. On June 17, 2023, a trailer for the series was released. Premise Ye Wenjie is an astrophysicist who saw her father brutally murdered during the Chinese Cultural Revolution. Later, she was conscripted by the military because of her scientific background and sent to a secret radar base in a remote region of China. Her fateful decision in the 1960s echoes across space and time to a group of scientists in the present day, forcing them to face humanity's greatest threat. The Cultural Revolution, formally known as the Great Proletarian Cultural Revolution, was a sociopolitical movement in the People's Republic of China (PRC) launched by Mao Zedong in 1966, and lasting until his death in 1976.
