The Story (Kang Daniel Album)
''The Story'' is the debut studio album by South Korean singer and songwriter Kang Daniel. It was released on May 24, 2022, by Konnect Entertainment and distributed by Sony Music Korea. ''The Story'' contains ten tracks with " Upside Down" as its lead single. A repackage of the album, titled ''The Story: Retold'', was released on November 24, 2022. Background and composition On May 2, 2022, Konnect Entertainment posted a surprise comeback trailer video for what would be Kang Daniel's first full-length album ''The Story'', set for release on May 24. Two days later, pre-orders for three different versions (Arch-Plot, Anti-Plot, and Non-Plot) of the album began. Kang Daniel (; commonly stylized as KANGDANIEL; born Kang Eui-geon []; December 10, 1996) is a South Korean singer-songwriter, actor, and businessman who rose to fame in early 2017 as the first-place winner of the Produce 101 Season 2, second season of reality competition series '' Produce 101''. He is a former member of the show's resulting boy group Wanna One and is currently active as a solo artist. Following the end of Wanna One's activities as a group, Kang took a six-month hiatus from the entertainment industry and took over management of his career. The Circle Chart (), previously known as the Gaon Music Chart or the Gaon Chart (), tabulates the relative weekly popularity of songs and albums in South Korea. It is produced by the Korea Music Content Association and sponsored by South Korea's Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. Founded in 2010.
