The Slickness
''The Slickness'' is the first solo studio album by Prince Po, one half of American hip hop duo Organized Konfusion. It was released on Lex Records in 2004. It peaked at number 53 on the CMJ Top 200 chart. Production 80 percent of the album was written at Danger Mouse's house in California. The album's production was handled by Jel, Madlib, Danger Mouse, Richard X, J-Zone, and Prince Po himself. In a 2005 interview, Prince Po stated that his favorite song on the album was "Be Easy". The song was dedicated to the late Matt Doo, who drew the cover art for Organized Konfusion's '' Stress: The Extinction Agenda'' and committed suicide years afterwards. Critical reception David Jeffries of AllMusic called the album "a victory for all involved." Lawrence Baskerville (born August 12, 1969), better known by his stage name Prince Po, is an American rapper and record producer from Queens, New York City, New York. Corey Woods (born January 12, 1970), better known by his stage name Raekwon The Chef, or simply Raekwon (), is an American rapper. Daniel Dumile ( ; July 13, 1971October 31, 2020), best known by his stage name MF Doom or simply Doom (both stylized in all caps), was a British-American rapper and record producer. Noted for his intricate wordplay, signature metal mask, and "supervillain" stage persona, Dumile became a major figure of underground hip hop and alternative hip hop in the 2000s. Thomas Smith, better known by his stage name Jemini the Gifted One, is a rapper from Brooklyn, New York. He has most notably worked with Danger Mouse on the 2003 album ''Ghetto Pop Life'', which features rappers such as The Pharcyde, Tha Alkaholiks, J-Zone, and Prince Po from Organized Konfusion.
