Tom Gibson (September 1, 1888 – December 6, 1950) was an American screenwriter and film director. He wrote for more than 70 films between 1915 and 1946. Jed Buell
Jed Buell (May 21, 1897 - September 29, 1961) was an American film producer, director, and screenwriter who specialized in low-budget B pictures in a variety of subjects including singing cowboy films featuring midgets and black actors. Career Buell, born in Denver, Colorado to Dora Phelps and William J. Buell, was educated at the Corona School and North Denver High School. He began his film career as treasurer of the Denver Orpheum Theatre and Denham Theatre as well as the business manager of Denver's Elitch Theatre. In 1928 he became general manager of California Universal Chair Theaters. He joined Mack Sennett as a publicist and in 1930 was made director of all publicity at the Mack Sennett Studios in Hollywood. Fred Leedon Scott (February 14, 1902 – December 16, 1991) was an American actor best known as a singing cowboy star in Westerns during the 1930s and 1940s. Biography Scott was born on February 14, 1902, in Fresno, California, United States. He took voice lessons as a child and started acting in community theater at sixteen followed by working with a traveling troupe. Scott's family moved to Llano del Rio. He found work as a cowboy on a cattle ranch and tried to parlay the skills into film roles on horseback. He spent three years at Pathé as Helen Twelvetrees leading man. Victoria Vinton, born Victoria Velnette Vinton (August 23, 1912 – June 12, 1980) was an early B-movie actress, starring in over thirty films from 1932 into 1940, mostly in westerns. Early life Born in New Jersey, she was the daughter of Victor Vinton and Lucille Vinton Strahl. She had a younger sister, Violet. Vinton was a good looking young woman in her youth, and was often called in her acting days "a Jean Harlow look alike".
