The Scared Weird Little Guys
Scared Weird Little Guys (also referred to as SWLG or The Scaredies) were an Australian comedy music duo formed in July 1990, comprising John Fleming (vocals, guitar, mandolin) and Rusty Berther (vocals, guitar, banjo). The Scaredies performed their last live show in Brisbane in May 2011, until a one-off benefit gig in Melbourne in October 2016. They reunited for a three-day stint at the Brisbane Powerhouse on 8 to 10 March 2019. History In 1987, Fleming joined "Four Chairs No Waiting", an ''a cappella'' group comprising David Holmes, Ramsey Collins and Rusty Berther. The group performed aboard a Fairstar cruise, as well as touring RSL clubs around Sydney. They performed during most of Expo 88 in Brisbane. Warrnambool (Maar: ''Peetoop'' or ''Wheringkernitch'' or ''Warrnambool'') is a city on the south-western coast of Victoria, Australia. At the 2021 census, Warrnambool had a population of 35,743. Situated on the Princes Highway, Warrnambool (Allansford) marks the western end of the Great Ocean Road and the southern end of the Hopkins Highway. History Origin of name The name "Warrnambool" originated from Mount Warrnambool, a scoria cone volcano 25 kilometres northeast of the town. The Edinburgh Festival Fringe (also referred to as The Fringe, Edinburgh Fringe, or Edinburgh Fringe Festival) is the world's largest arts and media festival, which in 2019 spanned 25 days and featured more than 59,600 performances of 3,841 different shows in 322 venues. Adelaide Fringe Festival
The Adelaide Fringe, formerly Adelaide Fringe Festival, is the world's second-largest annual arts festival (after the Edinburgh Festival Fringe), held in the South Australian capital of Adelaide. Between mid-February and mid-March each year, it features more than 7,000 artists from around Australia and the world. Melbourne International Comedy Festival
The Melbourne International Comedy Festival (MICF) is the largest stand-alone comedy festival and the second-largest international comedy festival in the world. Established in 1987, it takes place annually in Melbourne over four weeks, typically starting in March and running through to April. The Melbourne Town Hall has served as the festival hub, but performances are held in many venues throughout the city. ''You May Be Right'' is an Australian television game show, jointly produced by and the Seven Network, and hosted by ''Dancing with the Stars'' judge Todd McKenney. ''The Micallef P(r)ogram(me)'' is an Australian sketch comedy TV series hosted by Shaun Micallef, and written by Micallef and Gary McCaffrie, that ran from 1998 to 2001 on ABC TV. It was known as ''The Micallef Program'' in its first series, ''The Micallef Programme'' in its second series and ''The Micallef Pogram'' in its third series. ''The Micallef P(r)ogram(me)'' is an umbrella title used for the DVD releases. ''Sale of the Century'' (stylized as ''$ale of the Century'') is an American television game show that originally debuted on September 29, 1969, on NBC daytime. It was one of three NBC game shows to premiere on that date, the other two being the short-lived game shows ''Letters to Laugh-In'' and ''Name Droppers''. The series aired until July 13, 1973, and a weekly syndicated series began that fall and ran for one season. ''The Footy Show'' was an Australian sports variety television program covering professional rugby league in Australia. It was shown on the Nine Network and aired for 25 seasons.
