The Royal Glenora Club
The Royal Glenora Club is a member-owned, private sport and social club in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Opened in 1961, the Royal Glenora started as an amalgamation of three Edmonton sport clubs; the Glenora Skating and Tennis Club, the Braemar Badminton Club, and the Royal Curling Club. The club has several tennis, squash and badminton courts. In addition, the club features an indoor glass-enclosed pool with a retractable roof and an indoor ice arena. The Royal Glenora Club was the location of the 2006 Women's World Team Squash Championship. The club is one of the major training sites for figure skating in Canada. Kristi Yamaguchi
Kristine Tsuya Yamaguchi (born July 12, 1971) is an American former figure skater. In ladies' singles, Yamaguchi is the 1992 Olympic champion, a two-time World champion (1991 and 1992), and the 1992 U.S. champion. In 1992, she became the first Asian American woman to win a gold medal in a Winter Olympic competition. As a pairs skater with Rudy Galindo, she is the 1988 World Junior champion and a two-time national champion (1989 and 1990). In December 2005, she was inducted into the U.S. Olympic Hall of Fame. Cody Hay
Cody Hay (born July 28, 1983) is a Canadian retired pair skater. With Anabelle Langlois, he is the 2008 Canadian national champion. He is now a coach with Langlois. Career Cody Hay teamed up with Annabelle Langlois in 2005. The pair finished 4th at the 2006 Skate America. They were forced to withdraw from their second event, 2006 Cup of Russia, because the airline lost Langlois' skates. Langlois/Hay took bronze at the 2007 Canadian Championships and were named to their first Worlds team. They placed 10th at the 2007 World Championships in Tokyo, Japan. In the 2007–08 season, Langlois/Hay competed at Skate Canada and NHK Trophy, before winning their first national title at the 2008 Canadian Championships in Vancouver, British Columbia. The 2006 Women's World Team Squash Championships is the women's edition of the 2006 World Team Squash Championships organized by the World Squash Federation, which serves as the world team championship for squash players. Annabelle Langlois
Anabelle Langlois (born July 21, 1981) is a Canadian pair skater. She is the 2008 Canadian Figure Skating Championships with Cody Hay and the 2002 Four Continents Figure Skating Championships silver medallist with Patrice Archetto. Career Langlois teamed up with Patrice Archetto in 1998. She fractured her skull as a result of a fall on a throw jump at the 1998 Canadian Championships. She wore a hockey helmet for six months afterward. Langlois/Archetto won the silver medal at the 2002 Four Continents Figure Skating Championships, 2002 Four Continents Championships, five ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating, Grand Prix medals, and five Canadian Figure Skating Championships, Canadian national medals.
