''The River'' is a 2012 American found-footage supernatural adventure horror television series that debuted during the 2011–12 television winter season on ABC as a mid-season replacement. Eight episodes were produced for the first season. The series ran from February 7, 2012 to March 20, 2012. On May 11, 2012, ABC officially canceled the series. The show has been met with generally favorable reviews. Michael Green is an American writer and producer. In addition to writing for television, Green has written or co-written several feature film screenplays, including '' Logan'', '' Alien: Covenant'', '' Blade Runner 2049'' and ''Murder on the Orient Express'', all in 2017. For ''Logan'', which he co-wrote with James Mangold and Scott Frank, Green was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay. (born John Richbourg, August 20, 1910 - February 15, 1986) was an American radio disc jockey who attained fame in the 1950s and 1960s for playing rhythm and blues music on Nashville radio station WLAC.
