''The Rising Night'' is an exclusive to audio Doctor Who story, produced as part of BBC Books' New Series Adventures line, and was the fourth entry in the series to be produced. Scott Handcock
Scott Handcock (born 8 November 1984) is an English writer, director and producer who has been involved in a number of audio plays for Big Finish Productions, the audio production company perhaps best associated with the Doctor Who franchise. Handcock has attended fan conventions in New York City, Swansea, California, Germany, and recently worked for BBC Wales as a production runner on the third and fourth series of ''Doctor Who Confidential'', the animated ''Doctor Who'' adventure ''The Infinite Quest'', and the second series of ''The Sarah Jane Adventures''. Michelle Claire Ryan (born 22 April 1984) is an English actress. She played Zoe Slater on the BBC soap opera ''EastEnders'' (2000–2005). In 2007, she starred in the short-lived American television series ''Bionic Woman''. The ''New Series Adventures'' are a series of novels relating to the long-running BBC science fiction television series, ''Doctor Who''. The 'NSAs', as they are often referred to, are published by BBC Books, and are regularly published twice a year.
