The Rentals
The Rentals are an American rock band fronted by vocalist Matt Sharp. Sharp has been the only consistent member since the group's inception. The band's best selling single is "Friends of P" (1995). The Rentals released two albums, ''Return of the Rentals'' (1995) and ''Seven More Minutes'' (1999) on Maverick Records before quietly splitting in 1999 following a world tour. The group reformed in 2005 and have since released several EPs and two more full-length albums, ''Lost in Alphaville'' and ''Q36''. ''Lost in Alphaville'' released August 26, 2014, on Polyvinyl Records. ''Q36'' was released June 26, 2020. Numerous musicians have appeared with the group on recordings and in live shows. The Black Keys
The Black Keys are an American rock duo formed in Akron, Ohio, in 2001. The group consists of Dan Auerbach (guitar, vocals) and Patrick Carney (drums). The duo began as an independent act, recording music in basements and self-producing their records, before they eventually emerged as one of the most popular garage rock artists during a second wave of the genre's revival in the 2000s. Patrick Carney
Patrick James Carney (born April 15, 1980) is an American musician and producer best known as the drummer of the Black Keys, a blues rock band from Akron, Ohio. Early life Carney's father, Jim, is a retired reporter for the ''Akron Beacon Journal'' and a music lover whom Carney credits with introducing him to various genres. His mother, Mary Stormer, is the traffic and parking supervisor for the Akron Municipal Clerk of Courts and is a former member of the Akron Board of Education. Ryen Slegr is a Los Angeles-based musician best known for being a member of the rock band Ozma. He is also affiliated with The Rentals, Weezer, and Rachel Haden. Justin Fisher (musician)
Justin Fisher is an American born bassist most well known for being the bassist in Nerf Herder, touring bassist for The Rentals and lead singer for Psoma. Fisher also co-founded Rivers Cuomo's first band Avant Garde. Fisher played guitar and was the backing vocalist for Shufflepuck who were signed to Interscope records in the 1990s. Justin joined Nerf Herder in 1999 and played bass and keywords on the albums '' How To Meet Girls'', ''My EP'', ''American Cheese''. Jamie Blake (born c. 1975) is a singer/songwriter. Blake grew up in Chicago before moving to Washington DC in 1993, where she attended The American University. Rachel Haden
Rachel Haden (born October 11, 1971 in New York City) is an American musician and one of the triplet daughters of jazz bassist Charlie Haden. In the early 1990s, Haden played bass guitar for That Dog, a band that also included her sister Petra. Her sister Tanya also contributed cello on several That Dog recordings, but did not tour as an official member of the band. Around this time Haden also played drums and performed backup vocals for Beck on the songs "Totally Confused" and "Steve Threw Up". She also played drums for Beck's "Pink Noise (Rock Me Amadeus)". Sara I. Radle is an American filmmaker/musician and former member of the band The Rentals. Radle was a member of the Rentals for three years, starting in 2005.
