"The Queen of Starting Over" was a download only release, Knight's first single in her career that was not released on a CD single format. The single was the second of a two-part digital single to be released containing tracks from her live performances at the iTunes live festival from July 2007 (the first part was a live EP release of " No Man's Land") . Beverley Knight (born Beverley Anne Smith, 22 March 1973) is an English recording artist and musical theatre actress. She released her first album, ''The B-Funk'', in 1995. Heavily influenced by American soul music icons such as Sam Cooke and Aretha Franklin, Knight has released eight studio albums. ''Music City Soul'' is the fifth studio album by British singer-songwriter Beverley Knight. It was released on Parlophone Records on 7 May 2007 in the United Kingdom. The album contains the singles " No Man's Land", "After You" and " The Queen of Starting Over", and features Ronnie Wood on a number of tracks. The album became Knight's second highest charting album in the UK, peaking at number eight. Background The majority of ''Music City Soul'' was recorded and produced by Mark Nevers at The Beech House studio in Nashville, Tennessee in the United States in just five days in late October 2006. All the songs on the album were written beforehand the previous summer and then recorded back to back in the studio with an array of different musicians.
