The Queen's Bishop
"The Queen's Bishop" is an Australian TV play. It aired on the ABC as part of ''Wednesday Theatre''. According to a TV Guide listing, the play is "about a family and their relationships to one another". Premise Lady Simpson was the pivot around which her family revolved. Then she died, and the family collapses into a battle for leadership which threaten to tear the family apart. Sir Leonard Simpson tries to replace his lost Queen (Lady Simpson) with his secretary. The rest of the family rallies under the leadership of its Queen, Pauline, the wife of Sir Leonard's eldest son, Bede, to keep out the secretary, who they feel is an outsider. John Croyston
John Croyston (7 March 1933 - 23 May 2007) was an Australian writer, radio producer and director. He studied at the University of Sydney and worked as a teacher before going on to work at the ABC. He was a radio producer at the ABC from 1958 to 1964. He then moved into television. John Warwick
John McIntosh Beattie (4 January 1905 – 10 January 1972), known professionally as John Warwick, was an Australian actor, and television dramatist. Early life He was born John McIntosh Beattie (many sources give "Beattle") at Bellingen, New South Wales, Australia. He took the name Warwick from his secondary school. Acting career Warwick had an extensive career over 40 years, beginning in Australian cinema in the early 1930s (he is attributed with introducing Errol Flynn, a personal acquaintance in Sydney, to acting by bringing him along to a casting session when ''In the Wake of the Bounty'' was being filmed). After relocating to England he was trained as an actor at Harrogate theatre with the repertory company "The White Rose Players", afterwards moving into British cinema in the late 1930s–1940s, and television from the 1950s. Ronald Graham (17 December 1926 – 2 April 2020) was a British-Australian character actor who appeared in many theatre and television roles from 1956 until retiring in 2003.
