The Prairie Cartel is an American rock music band from Chicago, Illinois, United States, whose music and name is featured in a radio station in ''Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars'' and a song in ''Grand Theft Auto IV''. The band consists of former members of Fig Dish and Caviar (band), Caviar as well as Scott Lucas of Local H. The Prairie Cartel has played shows with other notable electronica acts including Klaxons and Simian Mobile Disco. Simian Mobile Disco are an English electronic music duo and production team, formed in 2003 by James Ford and Jas Shaw of the band Simian. Musically, they are known for their analogue production. Klaxons were an English rock band, based in London. Following the release of several 7-inch singles on different independent record labels, as well as the success of previous singles " Magick" and " Golden Skans", the band released their debut album, '' Myths of the Near Future'' on 29 January 2007. The album won the 2007 Nationwide Mercury Prize. After playing festivals and headlining tours worldwide (including the NME Indie Rave Tour) during late 2006–07, the band started working on their follow-up album in July 2007. Scott Lucas and the Married Men is the solo project/band of Scott Lucas, the guitarist, bassist, and lead vocalist of the alternative rock band Local H. Formation The project started when Lucas started writing and sending songs to an ex-girlfriend in an effort to win her back. Local H
Local H is an American rock band originally formed by guitarist and vocalist Scott Lucas, bassist Matt Garcia, drummer Joe Daniels, and lead guitarist John Sparkman in Zion, Illinois in 1990. The members all met in high school in 1987 and founded Local H three years later. They are known for their unorthodox two-piece setup. After Sparkman's departure in 1991 and Garcia's departure in 1993, Local H signed a record contract with Island Records in 1994 as a duo, where they would go on to release three albums. They became best known for their radio hit "Bound for the Floor", a single from the 1996 album '' As Good as Dead'' which peaked at No. 5 on the US Alternative ''Billboard'' Chart.
