Pilot
An aircraft pilot or aviator is a person who controls the flight of an aircraft by operating its directional flight controls. Some other aircrew members, such as navigators or flight engineers, are also considered aviators, because they are involved in operating the aircraft's navigation and engine systems. Other aircrew members, such as drone operators, flight attendants, mechanics and ground crew, are not classified as aviators. In recognition of the pilots' qualifications and responsibilities, most militaries and many airlines worldwide award aviator badges to their pilots. ''I Hear The Music'' is a compilation album of songs by American pop rock duo England Dan & John Ford Coley, released by A&M Records several years after the various A&M recording sessions. Four songs, "Tell Her Hello", "New Jersey", "Mud and Stone" and "Miss Me", had already been released on the 1970 album ''England Dan & John Ford Coley''. The other songs were recorded around 1970–72 for the album ''Fables'' (1971) or other shelved projects. After showing only minor success in the US with "New Jersey" (number 102) and better results in Japan with "Simone" (number 1), the duo was cut from the A&M roster in 1972. ''Neon Golden'' is the fifth studio album by German indie rock band The Notwist. It was released on 14 January 2002 by City Slang. Amber Run is a British indie rock band from Nottingham, UK composed of Joshua "Joe" Keogh, Tom Sperring, and Henry Wyeth. The band have released three full-length albums. three mini-albums and five EPs. Initially called Amber, they later changed their name to avoid conflict with the German dance-pop singer of same name. History Formation Joshua Keogh, Tom Sperring and Will Jones were originally friends from Buckinghamshire at Dr Challoner's Grammar School where they played in an alt rock band. With Felix Archer from the same area and Wyeth from Kent, they met while studying at University of Nottingham. Pilot (Reuben EP)
The ''Pilot EP'' was the first official release by British rock band Reuben. This recording was with the original Reuben line up, including Mark Lawton on drums. It was recorded in the summer of 2000 at Backline studios in Guildford with ex Redwood guitarist Rob Blackham. The band had met Rob at Guildford festival, where he urged them to record a demo of some sort, so they set about recording five songs in four days. The EP was released on the Badmusic label in January 2001. The initial run was of 500 copies, which sold out fairly fast, but it is regularly repressed and is available at shows and by mail order. It was reviewed in ''Kerrang!'' by members of Taproot, and received a KKKK rating, despite being described as 'cheesey' by the singer. ''Pilot'' is the début EP released and produced by the British alternative rock band Mallory Knox. Release After approximately 3 months of writing songs, the band started to play local shows in Cambridge around November. They later recorded this EP at Studio Glasseye with the help of producer Dan Lancaster ( We Are The Ocean, Lower Than Atlantis). The band released the EP on 14 July after gaining more exposure by getting as many people as they could to listen to their songs. Pilot, also known as PilOt (russian: Пилот, ПилОт) is a Russian rock band from Saint Petersburg, founded by Ilja Knabengof in 1997. History The roots of the band stretch back to 1994, at which point it was called Military Jane. In this incarnation, the band had a raw, melodic grunge style reminiscent of Alice In Chains, and featured Knabengof singing in English. Military Jane released three albums, "Home" (1995) "Home Live '95", and "Blackest Paint Colored Brush" (1996) with limited success. The band's single "Wherry?" although popular, was met with controversy and the music video was banned from MTV. During the "Rock '96" festival in Saint Petersburg, the band performed a new song "Мама" (Mama) for the first time. Pilot were a Scottish rock group, formed in 1973 in Edinburgh by David Paton and Billy Lyall. They are best known for their songs "January", "Magic", "Just a Smile" and "Call Me Round". Career Paton and Lyall had briefly been substitute members of the Bay City Rollers before that band's breakthrough. Joined by drummer Stuart Tosh, the band recorded several demos during 1972 and 1974 at Craighall Studios, Edinburgh, where Billy Lyall was the resident engineer. They were signed to a management contract with Nick Heath and Tim Heath, sons of British bandleader Ted Heath, and John Cavanagh. In due course they signed to a worldwide recording deal with EMI Records. After the recording of their debut album, ''From the Album of the Same Name'', guitarist Ian Bairnson (who had played on the album as a session musician) joined the band permanently.
