The Only Way Is Essex (series 24)
The twenty-fourth series of the British reality television programme ''The Only Way Is Essex'' began airing on 17 March 2019 with a special episode as the cast visited Thailand. Ahead of the series, it was announced that a large number of cast members had quit the series or had been axed from the show. These include Adam Oukhello, Chloe Lewis, Chris and Jon Clark, Dean Ralph, James Argent, Jordan Wright and Myles Barnett. Original cast member Lauren Pope also quit the show before the launch, despite appearing in promo images for the new series. ITVBe, stylized as itvBe, is a British free-to-air television channel owned by ITV Digital Channels, a division of ITV plc. The channel was first announced on 12 February 2014 and launched on 8 October 2014. The Only Way Is Essex
''The Only Way Is Essex'' (often abbreviated as ''TOWIE'' ) is a British reality television series based in Brentwood, Essex, England. It shows "real people in modified situations, saying unscripted lines but in a structured way." Originally broadcast on ITV2 from 2010, the series was moved to ITVBe in October 2014. The first series consisted of 10 episodes and ran for 30 minutes, with a Christmas special following later in the year. Due to popularity, the runtime was extended to 45-minute episodes and renewed for a year's airing. On 22 May 2011, the series won the Audience Award at the 2011 BAFTA Awards. On 13 March 2016, ITVBe aired a one-off documentary hosted by former cast member Mark Wright, discussing the history of the series. The second series of '' Love Island'' began on 30 May 2016 hosted by Caroline Flack on ITV2, and ended on 11 July 2016. It's the second from the revived series, but fourth overall. The series was narrated by Iain Stirling. The series was extended to air every night of the week, as opposed to the previous series where it only aired six nights. However the Saturday episode was used as a weekly catch-up entitled ''Love Island: The Weekly Hot List'' rather than a nightly highlights episode. The average viewers for this series was 1,470,000, up 900,000 on the first series. Harry Bertie Lee (born 20 March 1995) is an English professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Concord Rangers.
