'The Oasis Alternative Fashion Store' (also known as ''The Oasis'' or ''The Oasis Market'') is a shopping centre in the centre of Birmingham, England, known for selling a variety of alternative fashion and gothic fashion. There are several entrances into The Oasis - two in Priory Square and another on Corporation Street. It is divided into five inter-linked levels, connected by a number of stairways and corridors, the walls of which are covered in various posters and flyers. Corporation Street is a main shopping street in Birmingham city centre, England. It runs from the law courts at its northern end to the centre of New Street at its southern. The creation of the street Planning The creation of Corporation Street was enabled by the Artisan's and Labourers' Dwellings Improvement Act 1875, demolishing an area of slums - the first use of the Act in England.
