The Neuromancer (album)
''The Neuromancer'' is the fourth studio album by William Control. Preceded by lyric videofor ''Illuminator'', the album was released on April 4, 2014, through Control Records, and was produced and engineered by William Control. It was recorded at Control's own Hell's Half Acre studio in September/October 2013, mixed by Ryan O John, and mastered by Alan Douches at West West Side. All lyrics are by William Francis. The single ''Revelator'' was also released in April, and accompanied by a video. This was followed in May by a second single, ''Price We Pay''. The album had been scheduled for release in late 2013, but was delayed in order to make it 'the best it could possibly be'. William Control
William Control is an American electronic music project founded in 2008 in Seattle, Washington. It was the side project of Aiden's William Francis before Aiden's hiatus, and he later operated as William Control full-time. 'William Control' therefore refers to both the band as a whole and to Francis as his stage name. Dark Wave
Dark wave (also typeset as darkwave) is a music genre that emerged from the new wave and post-punk movement of the late 1970s. Dark wave compositions are largely based on minor key tonality and introspective lyrics and have been perceived as being dark, romantic and bleak, with an undertone of sorrow. Synth-pop
Synth-pop (short for synthesizer pop; also called techno-pop; ) is a subgenre of new wave music that first became prominent in the late 1970s and features the synthesizer as the dominant musical instrument. It was prefigured in the 1960s and early 1970s by the use of synthesizers in progressive rock, electronic, art rock, disco, and particularly the Krautrock of bands like Kraftwerk. It was filmed at Bar Sinister in Hollywood on April 26, 2014 on a night off from Combichrist's We Love Tour, and released on August 14, 2014 through Control Records as a limited run of 500 DVDs and 100 USB flash drives. Pre-orders began on June 27 through Control'Control Merch website The audio soundtrack is available as a download through iTunes and Amazon. Andrew Dennis Biersack (born December 26, 1990), formerly known as Andy Six, is an American singer. He is the founder and lead vocalist of the rock band Black Veil Brides and is its only remaining original member. In 2014, he started a solo music project under the moniker Andy Black and released his debut album, ''The Shadow Side'', in 2016. Black Veil Brides is an American rock band based in Hollywood, California. Tropic Of Cancer (novel)
''Tropic of Cancer'' is a novel by Henry Miller that has been described as "notorious for its candid sexuality" and as responsible for the "free speech that we now take for granted in literature." It was first published in 1934 by the Obelisk Press in Paris, France, but this edition was banned in the United States. Its publication in 1961 in the United States by Grove Press led to obscenity trials that tested American laws on pornography in the early 1960s. In 1964, the U.S. Supreme Court declared the book non-obscene. It is regarded as an important work of 20th-century literature.
