The Moment Of Truth (The Real Milli Vanilli Album)
''The Moment of Truth'' is the only studio album by the pop group the Real Milli Vanilli, released in 1991. History ''The Moment of Truth'' was meant to be the follow-up to Milli Vanilli's first album '' All or Nothing'' (repackaged as ''Girl You Know It's True'' in the United States). After it was revealed that Rob Pilatus and Fab Morvan had not performed the vocals with which they were credited in Milli Vanilli, the producer Frank Farian formed the group The Real Milli Vanilli, with the actual singers on the recordings, as well as new vocalists Gina Mohammed and Ray Horton. Milli Vanilli's vocalist, Charles Shaw, was unable to record for this album after being paid for his silence regarding his involvement with the first Milli Vanilli album. The Real Milli Vanilli
The Real Milli Vanilli was a pop music group that consisted of some of the original singers from Milli Vanilli, Brad Howell and John Davis, as well as new singers Gina Mohammed and Ray Horton and several "special guests," including Tammy T, Icy Bro and B-Sho'-Rockin'. The group's only album, '' The Moment of Truth'', was originally meant to be Milli Vanilli's second album, but the news about Rob Pilatus and Fab Morvan not having sung on the first album and lip synching during live performances broke before it could be released. Frank Farian then reformed the group under the name "The Real Milli Vanilli," changing the cover of the album to feature singers Howell, Icy Bro, Horton, Mohammed and Davis. Cabell Calloway III (December 25, 1907 – November 18, 1994) was an American singer, songwriter, bandleader, conductor and dancer. Charles Shaw (born July 4, 1960) is an American rapper and singer who, in 1988, performed on recordings credited to Milli Vanilli. Controversy Shaw, a U.S. Army veteran, was reportedly paid $6,000 to perform the rap on Milli Vanilli's hit single " Girl You Know It’s True". In December 1989, Shaw disclosed to ''New York Newsday'' writer John Leland that he was one of three singers on Milli Vanilli's hit debut album, and that Milli Vanilli frontmen Rob Pilatus and Fabrice Morvan were impostors. Milli Vanilli producer Frank Farian reportedly paid Shaw $150,000 to retract his statements. Fabrice Maxime Sylvain Morvan (born 14 May 1966) is a French singer, songwriter, rapper, dancer, and model. He was half of the pop duo Milli Vanilli, along with Rob Pilatus, selling multi-platinum albums around the world.
