Princess Norina Matchabelli (born Eleanora Erna Cecilia Gilli; 3 March 1880 – 15 June 1957) was co-founder of the perfume company Prince Matchabelli, a stage and screen actress, publisher, and a disciple of Indian spiritual teacher Meher Baba. Her stage name was Maria Carmi. Acting career as Maria Carmi Gilli was born in Florence, Italy, the daughter of confectioner Luigi Gilli, originally from Samedan, and his wife Emma Troll from Winterthur. She was the youngest of five children and spent her youth in Florence and Fiesole. She began her stage career at Max Reinhardt's acting school at the Deutsches Theater and belonged to his company from 1907 to 1909. Agatha Bârsescu, also known by the name Agathe Barcesque (1857 – 1939), was a Romanian theatre actress, opera singer and teacher, known for her interpretations of Greek tragedies. Early life Agatha Bârsescu was born in Bucharest, capital of Romania on 9 September 1857. She was born into a military family, with her father being a colonel who was on good terms with the royal family, and her uncle being the minister of war. Her brother would become a general and her sister married a colonel. She spent part of her childhood in Bârsești where her father was stationed. At the age of 8, she was sent by her family, together with her cousin, to a boarding school in Sibiu, some 275 km north-west of Bucharest, where she learned German. Theodor Rudoff Rocholl (1854–1933) was a German military painter and war artist. Life and work Rocholl was born in Sachsenberg (Waldeck) on 11 June 1854, the son of , the Lutheran theologian and philosopher. He was a student in Munich in 1877, then at the Dresden Academy. After a year, he moved to Munich where he studied historical painting under Karl von Piloty. ''Das Mirakel'' is a black-and white silent German film made and released in 1912, directed by Mime Misu for the Berlin film production company Continental-Kunstfilm GmbH. It was based (without permission) on Karl Vollmoeller's 1911 play, '' The Miracle''. The film was originally advertised as ''The Miracle'' in Britain and the US, but after copyright litigation in both countries it was shown as ''Sister Beatrix'' and ''Sister Beatrice'' respectively. In Germany it was known as ''Das Marienwunder: eine alte Legende''. The film stars Lore Giesen, Mime Misu, and Anton Ernst Rückert. The Royal Opera House (ROH) is an opera house and major performing arts venue in Covent Garden, central London. The large building is often referred to as simply Covent Garden, after a previous use of the site. It is the home of The Royal Opera, The Royal Ballet, and the Orchestra of the Royal Opera House. The first theatre on the site, the Theatre Royal (1732), served primarily as a playhouse for the first hundred years of its history. In 1734, the first ballet was presented.
