Ming Dynasty
The Ming dynasty (), officially the Great Ming, was an imperial dynasty of China, ruling from 1368 to 1644 following the collapse of the Mongol-led Yuan dynasty. The Ming dynasty was the last orthodox dynasty of China ruled by the Han people, the majority ethnic group in China. Although the primary capital of Beijing fell in 1644 to a rebellion led by Li Zicheng (who established the short-lived Shun dynasty), numerous rump regimes ruled by remnants of the Ming imperial family—collectively called the Southern Ming—survived until 1662. Liang Youyu
Liang Youyu (1521–1556) was a Ming dynasty scholar. A native of Shunde (顺德) in Guangdong province, he completed the Jinshi (进士) level of the Imperial Examination The imperial examination (; lit. Ou Daren
Ou Daren (1516–1596) was a Ming Dynasty scholar. He was a native of Chencun (陳村), Shunde in Guangdong province. Becoming an official with the Second-Degree Scholars (優貢), he was appointed at posts such as Assistant of the Imperial College (國子監助教), Officer in Ministry of Work Affairs in Nanjing (南京工部虞衡郎中), etc. He was famous for his poetry, and was one of "The Latter Five Poets of the Southern Garden" (南园后五子), along with Liang Youyu Liang Youyu (1521–1556) was a Ming dynasty scholar.
