The Inpatient
''The Inpatient'' is a psychological horror video game developed by Supermassive Games and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment for PlayStation 4 and its virtual reality headset PlayStation VR. The game was released in January 2018. It is a prequel to the 2015 game ''Until Dawn'', taking place at the Blackwood Sanatorium in 1952, 63 years before the events of the original game. Unlike ''Until Dawn'', it uses a First-person (gaming), first-person perspective. Gameplay ''The Inpatient'' is a survival horror game played from a First-person (video games), first-person perspective. The Electronic Entertainment Expo 2017 (E3 2017) was the 23rd E3, during which hardware manufacturers and software developers and publishers from the video game industry presented new and upcoming products to the attendees, primarily retailers and members of the video game press. The event, organized by the Entertainment Software Association (ESA), took place at the Los Angeles Convention Center from June 13–15, 2017.
