The Hunt For Xavier
"The Hunt For Xavier" is an X-Men storyline that ran in the fall of 1998. Plot The X-Men attempt to find the location of Professor Xavier, who has been missing ever since the authorities arrested him in the wake of the Onslaught disaster. Their quest for him leads them once again into the path of Cerebro, the mutant detecting device used by the X-Men which has now gained sentient life. This time, it has gained a new form, as opposed to mimicking Charles Xavier and creating a team of fake X-Men. Adam Kubert
Adam Kubert (; born 1959) is an American comics artist known for his work for publishers such as Marvel Comics and DC Comics, including work on ''Action Comics'', '' Astonishing Spider-Man & Wolverine'', ''The Incredible Hulk'', ''Ultimate Fantastic Four'', ''Ultimate X-Men'', and ''Wolverine''. Kubert was rated by '' Wizard'' magazine as one of the "Hot 10 Writers and Artists" in the industry in 2008. He is the son of Joe Kubert and brother of Andy Kubert, both comic book artists as well, and the uncle of comics editor Katie Kubert. Born in Dover, New Jersey he is an instructor at the Joe Kubert School located there, which Joe Kubert founded, and at which he and Andy studied. Professor X (Charles Francis Xavier) is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The character is depicted as the founder and sometimes leader of the X-Men. Onslaught is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Onslaught was written as a sentient psionic entity created from the consciousness of two mutants: Professor X, Professor Charles Xavier and Magneto (Marvel Comics), Magneto. During a battle between the X-Men and Magneto's Acolytes (comics), Acolytes, Professor Xavier used his Telepathy, telepathic powers to shut down Magneto's mind, rendering him catatonic. It was explained through the Onslaught crossover series that the darkest aspect of Magneto's mind escaped into Xavier's subconscious, where it "merged" with Xavier's own darker nature to eventually grow into a separate persona of its own. Cerebro's X-Men
Cerebro's X-Men are a team of supervillains appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. They are a nanotechnology version of the X-Men created by Cerebro when the supercomputer briefly goes rogue. This team was created and designed by the Spanish artist Carlos Pacheco, who also drew them for the cover of ''Uncanny X-Men'' No. 360 (1998). The characters appeared in two issues of the ''Uncanny X-Men'' series and one issue of the ''X-Men'' series.
