The Hound Of The Baskervilles (1932 Film)
''The Hound of the Baskervilles'' is a 1932 British mystery film directed by Gareth Gundrey and starring John Stuart, Robert Rendel and Frederick Lloyd. It is based on the 1902 novel ''The Hound of the Baskervilles'' by Arthur Conan Doyle, in which Sherlock Holmes is called in to investigate a suspicious death on Dartmoor. It was made by Gainsborough Pictures. The screenplay was written by Edgar Wallace. Plot summary Accordint to the rumour, a beastly howl is heard in the moors of Dartmoor, and a hellhound is killing every member of the Baskerville family. Sherlock Holmes and his assistant Dr. Watson go there to investigate the case, only to discover that behind this mystery there is a local farmer who is using a phosphorescent dog to kill the heirs in order to obtain the inheritance. Heather Grace Angel (9 February 1909 – 13 December 1986) was a British actress. She has been known for providing the voice of Mrs. Darling, Wendy's mother in ''Peter Pan'' (1953) and Alice's sister in '' Alice in Wonderland'' (1951). Early life Angel was born 9 February 1909 in Headington, Oxford, England. She was the daughter of Mary Letitia Stock and Andrea Angel, an Oxford University chemistry lecturer and initially a don at Brasenose College and later at Christ Church. They were married in 1904 and, after the wedding, they moved to the Banbury Road. Andrea Angel's maternal grandfather was an Italian refugee and he was named after his uncle Andrea Rabagliati. In the 1911 UK Census, the family is shown as living at 17 Banbury Road, Oxford along with three servants. She was the younger of two sisters. Lustleigh Railway Station
Lustleigh station was on the Moretonhampstead and South Devon Railway serving the village of Lustleigh, Devon, England. Lustleigh was the penultimate station on this 12.3 mile (20 km) branchline off the South Devon Main Line. It had a single platform and one siding. The platform survives and the station building has been greatly enlarged. The Moretonhampstead and South Devon Railway company was formed in 1861, and work on the line commenced in 1863. The line opened to the public in 1866 and converted from broad gauge to standard gauge in 1892. The station was host to a GWR camp coach from 1934 to 1939. A camping coach was also positioned here by the Western Region from 1952 to 1958. The station closed to passengers after the last train on 28 February 1959, with goods trains continuing until 1964.
