The Hardy Boys (1995 TV Series)
''The Hardy Boys'' is a mystery television series, based on the long-running novels of the same name that originally aired from September 23 until December 16, 1995. It was co-produced by New Line Television (a division of New Line Cinema), Nelvana Ltd. (Canada), and Marathon Productions, S.A. (France) in association with Westcom Entertainment Group Ltd. of Canada and France 2. The show stars Paul Popowich as Joe Hardy and Colin Gray as Frank Hardy, with Fiona Highet cast as Kate Craigen. Tracy Ryan, who starred as the title character in the company's contemporaneous adaptation of the Nancy Drew novels, also made two crossover appearances as Drew. The Hardy Boys
The Hardy Boys, brothers Frank and Joe Hardy, are fictional characters who appear in several mystery series for children and teens. The series revolves around teenagers who are amateur sleuths, solving cases that stumped their adult counterparts. The characters were created by American writer Edward Stratemeyer, the founder of book-packaging firm Stratemeyer Syndicate. The books themselves were written by several ghostwriters, most notably Leslie McFarlane, under the collective pseudonym Franklin W. Dixon. The Hardy Boys have evolved since their debut in 1927. From 1959 to 1973, the first 38 books were extensively revised, largely to remove depictions of racial stereotypes; they were also targeted towards younger readers by being rewritten in a simpler, action-oriented style to compete with television. David Shore
David Shore (born July 3, 1959) is a Canadian television writer. Shore worked on ''Family Law'', ''NYPD Blue'' and '' Due South'', also producing many episodes of the latter. He created the critically acclaimed series '' House'' and more recently, ''Battle Creek'' and ''The Good Doctor''. Early life Shore was born in London, Ontario, Canada, to Jewish parents. His younger twin brothers, Ephraim Shore and Raphael Shore, are Aish HaTorah rabbis. David is the only member of his family involved in television, although his younger brother Raphael Shore made three political documentaries about the Middle East conflict. After graduating from A.B.
