The Greatest Dancer
''The Greatest Dancer'' is a British dance competition television series created by Simon Cowell and produced by Syco Entertainment. The first BBC programme created by Cowell, ''The Greatest Dancer'' sees previously undiscovered dance acts perform live weekly for Cheryl (singer), Cheryl, Oti Mabuse, Matthew Morrison and Todrick Hall (the "Dance Captains") and a studio audience in a competition to win £50,000 and a chance to perform on ''Strictly Come Dancing''. The first series aired on BBC One on Saturdays from 5 January to 23 February 2019, and was won by 14-year-old solo dancer Ellie Fergusson from Livingston, West Lothian, who was mentored by Oti Mabuse. A second series premiered on 4 January 2020, with the addition of Todrick Hall to the judging panel, and Curtis Pritchard replaced Amelia Wilson as the receptionist. Dance Competition
Competitive dance is a popular, widespread sport in which competitors perform dances in any of several permitted dance styles—such as acro, ballet, contemporary, jazz, hip-hop, lyrical, modern, musical theatre, tap, and improv—before a common group of judges. This is in contrast with other activities that involve competition among dancers based on purpose, or specific dance styles or genres, such as pom squad and dancesport (competitive ballroom dance). Rising Star (Israeli TV Series)
''HaKokhav HaBa'' ( he, הַכּוֹכָב הַבָּא, translated as "The Next Star"; formerly ''HaKokhav HaBa LaErovizion'', ''Rising Star to the Eurovision'') is an Israeli interactive reality singing competition, which was first broadcast on Channel 2 from 17 September 2013. It is based on the ''Rising Star'' franchise created by Keshet Broadcasting. The show is a continuation of the former program ''Kokhav Nolad'' (meaning "A Star is Born") which featured aspiring singers competing for a winning title. South Wales
South Wales ( cy, De Cymru) is a loosely defined region of Wales bordered by England to the east and mid Wales to the north.
