Rising Star (Israeli TV Series)
''HaKokhav HaBa'' ( he, הַכּוֹכָב הַבָּא, translated as "The Next Star"; formerly ''HaKokhav HaBa LaErovizion'', ''Rising Star to the Eurovision'') is an Israeli interactive reality singing competition, which was first broadcast on Channel 2 from 17 September 2013. It is based on the ''Rising Star'' franchise created by Keshet Broadcasting. The show is a continuation of the former program ''Kokhav Nolad'' (meaning "A Star is Born") which featured aspiring singers competing for a winning title. The program's format combines the internet, smartphones and television and is filmed live. The shows inaugurative season in 2013 was won by Evyatar Korkus. Nati Ninet Tayeb ( he, נינט טייב; born October 21, 1983), commonly known as Ninet, is an Israeli musician, singer-songwriter, composer, DJ, model, actress, and a reality television program judge in '' Rising Star: Israel''. She is considered among the most famous people in the Israeli entertainment industry, and was labeled in 2015 as "One of the hottest new artists to break into the United States." Nadav Guedj ( he, נדב גדג'; born 2 November 1998) is an Israeli singer and actor who represented Israel in the Eurovision Song Contest 2015. He is the winner of season two of ''HaKokhav HaBa'' (Israel's '' Rising Star''). Guedj was born in Paris. Personal life He was born to an Algerian Jewish family in Paris, then moved to Israel. Channel 12 ( he, ערוץ 12), also known as Keshet 12 ( he, קשת 12), is an Israeli free-to-air television channel owned by Keshet Media Group. It launched on 1 November 2017 as one of two replacements of the outgoing Channel 2. Channel 2 ( he, ערוץ שתיים, Arutz Shtaim), also called "The Second Channel" ( he, הערוץ השני, HaArutz HaSheni) was an Israeli commercial television channel. It started doing experimental broadcasts funded by the television tax. The channel started commercial broadcasting on 4 November 1993 regulated and managed by The Second Authority for Television and Radio.
