The Great General
The Great General (碧血青天珍珠旗) is a 30-episode 1994 Hong Kong TV series produced by ATV. It is the sequel to the series '' Heroic Legend of the Yang's Family'', featuring mostly the same cast. Plot Long existed the legend that one can overlord the world with the help of the Banner of Hegemony. During the search for this banner under Song (Cantonese: ''Sung'') emperor's decree, Joeng Zung-bou takes back a professed owner who turns out to be an assassin to severely injure the emperor, which brings Joeng Zung-bou to jail term as an accused traitor. In the hope of getting some help from judge Baau Cing, Joeng Zung-bou's daughter-in-law Wai Ling-ji runs away in pregnancy and unfortunately encounters a mob working for the ambitious prince Ziu Dak-jam who is plotting conspiracy, but is lucky enough to be rescued by the patriotic general Dik Cing, who then takes their message to Baau Cing and eventually have the Joengs rescued. She Saihua (佘賽花) is a legendary heroine from ancient China's Northern Song Dynasty. The wife of Yang Ye and the mother of their 7 sons, she is a prominent figure in the stories on ''Yang Jia Jiang, Generals of the Yang Family''. The elderly and widowed She Saihua is also commonly known as She Taijun (佘太君; "Dowager She") and is usually depicted with a dragon-head cane (龍頭拐杖). She allegedly lived past the age of 100. Xiangyang
Xiangyang is a prefecture-level city in northwestern Hubei province, China and the second largest city in Hubei by population. It was known as Xiangfan from 1950 to 2010. Di Qing
Di Qing (1008–1057), formerly romanized as Ti Ch'ing, was a Chinese military general of the Northern Song dynasty. Biography Di Qing was born to a poor family in Xihe, Fenzhou (汾州西河; present-day Fenyang, Shanxi). He sported tattoos on his face and excelled in mounted archery. In 1038, during the reign of Emperor Renzong of Song, Di Qing was appointed as Commander (指揮使) of Yanzhou (延州; covering parts of present-day Shaanxi). He participated in the war between Song and Western Xia. Each time he went to war, he would don a bronze mask and let his hair run wild and disheveled, charging onto the battlefield. Emperor Renzong Of Song
Emperor Renzong of Song (30 May 1010 – 30 April 1063), personal name Zhao Zhen, was the fourth emperor of the Song dynasty of China. He reigned for about 41 years from 1022 to his death in 1063, and was the longest reigning Song dynasty emperor. He was the sixth son of his predecessor, Emperor Zhenzong, and was succeeded by his cousin's son, Zhao Shu who took the throne as Emperor Yingzong because his own sons died prematurely. His original personal name was Zhao Shouyi but it was changed by imperial decree in 1018 to "Zhao Zhen", which means 'auspicious' in Chinese. Yang Wenguang
Yang Wenguang (; died 1074) was a general in ancient China's Northern Song Dynasty. In history, Yang Wenguang was the son of Yang Yanzhao, however, he is the grandson of Yang Yanzhao in the popular fictionalized stories of Yang clan warriors. Biography In 1044, Fan Zhongyan was dispatched to the Shaanxi area and met with Yang Wenguang. He was impressed and took Yang as his subordinate. In 1052, Yang Wenguang followed Di Qing in the expedition to Guangxi and helped defeat Nong Zhigao's rebellion. Afterwards he was promoted by Emperor Yingzong.
