Nexus Koramangala is a shopping mall located on Hosur Road in Koramangala, Bangalore, Karnataka, India developed by Prestige Group. It is the first shopping mall in the city of Bangalore. Nexus Koramangala is the oldest full-fledged mall in Bangalore with a multi-story book store, 12 cinema halls and other entertainment facilities. The mall is an attraction for tourists. The shopping mall houses of shops over five levels. A major attraction at the mall is the multiplex, PVR. Hosur Road
Hosur Road is the part of National Highway 48, erstwhile NH44, which connects metropolis Bangalore and industrial City Hosur. It is a four to eight-lane access controlled highway. The road is part of the National Highway network. The National Highways Authority of India has constructed a 10-kilometer-long elevated highway from Madiwala to Electronic City. The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike and Bangalore Development Authority have planned a series of flyovers and underpasses to make this arterial road signal free. The project is a part of the BETL (Bangalore Elevated Tollways Ltd), project as part of the National Highways Development Project and the Elevated Highways Project. Koramangala
Koramangala () is situated in the south-eastern part of Bengaluru, it is one of the largest neighborhoods, and is a residential locality with wide, tree-lined boulevards and a mix of commercial structures, and bungalows. Planned as a suburb post-independence, its location between Bengaluru and Electronic City attracted migrants from across the country during Bengaluru's tech boom of the late 1990s. Consequently, it has gradually developed into a commercial hub. Koramangala is also Bengaluru's prominent startup hub. Geography Koramangala is divided into 8 blocks spread over approximately 1800 acres. Blocks 1–4 are separated from blocks 5–8 by the Inner Ring Road leading to Domlur/Indiranagar. Shopping Mall
A shopping mall (or simply mall) is a North American term for a large indoor shopping center, usually anchored by department stores. The term "mall" originally meant a pedestrian promenade with shops along it (that is, the term was used to refer to the walkway itself which was merely bordered by such shops), but in the late 1960s, it began to be used as a generic term for the large enclosed shopping centers that were becoming commonplace at the time. PVR Ltd (formerly Priya Village Roadshow Ltd), doing business as PVR Cinemas, is an Indian multiplex chain based in Gurgaon. PVR pioneered the multiplex revolution in India by establishing the first multiplex cinema in 1997 at Saket, New Delhi. History PVR Cinemas has its origin as Priya Cinema in Vasant Vihar, Delhi, the Cinema was named after Priya Jaisinghani and was bought by Ajay Bijli's father in 1978, who also owned a trucking business, Amritsar Transport Co. In 1988, Bijli took over the running of the cinema hall, which was revamped in 1990, and its success led to the founding PVR Cinemas. The company started as a joint venture agreement between Priya Exhibitors Private Limited and Village Roadshow Limited in 1995 with 60:40 ratio. It began its commercial operations in June 1997.
