The Eloquent Ji Xiaolan
''The Eloquent Ji Xiaolan'' () is a Chinese television series about the life of Ji Xiaolan. The series was directed by Zhang Guoli and consists of a total of 173 episodes shot in high definition, each 45 minutes long and containing 10 minutes of 3-D effects. The series is based on events during the reign of the Qianlong Emperor in the Qing dynasty. Plot Season 1 Involved in several events, Ji Xiaolan always tried to achieve justice, while the corruptive Heshen and his fellows always held him back. After initial misunderstanding two swords-women Mo Chou and Du Xiaoyue joined Ji Xiaolan. Qianlong Emperor always knew what Heshen had done but never punish him severely. Season 2 Mo Chou, who during the last episodes of Season 1 had born Qianlong Emperor a son and become his imperial concubine, never reappeared in the following seasons due to audience criticism and was only mentioned in a few conversations. Chan Man-kwai
Chan Man-kwai (born 1 April 1948) is a Chinese screenwriter who began his career in Hong Kong. He has written over 40 films and TV series in Hong Kong, Taiwan and mainland China. Chan was born and grew up in Xiamen. During the Cultural Revolution he laboured as a sent-down youth in the mountains of Yongding in southwestern Fujian. Step Empress of the Nara clan (; 11 March 1718 – 19 August 1766) was the wife and second empress consort of Hongli, the Qianlong Emperor. She was Empress consort of Qing from 1750 until her death in 1766. Originally a concubine, she was elevated to empress rank after Empress Xiaoxianchun's death in 1748. In her role as empress consort, she accompanied the Qianlong Emperor on many trips, ancestral worship ceremonies, and hunts.
