The Devil You Know (Econoline Crush Album)
''The Devil You Know'' is an album by the industrial alternative rock band Econoline Crush. It was released in Canada in June 1997 by EMI, and in the United States in March 1998 by Restless Records. While they are still only popular in Canada for the most part, this album helped to increase Econoline Crush's exposure in the United States more than their previous album. Tracks 12 through 22 of the album are silent; track 23 consists of a Biblical passage ( I Corinthians 13:4-8) recited in Japanese. Touring and promotion Econoline Crush spent a year on the road supporting the record. They performed with artists such as Green Day, Foo Fighters, The Tea Party, Alice Cooper, and Kiss. When opening for Kiss in Edmonton during their 1997 reunion tour, the band were left devastated when the crowd of 18,000 started chanting "We want Kiss" only a few songs into their set. Econoline Crush is a Canadian rock band from Vancouver, British Columbia, formed in 1992. They have released five studio albums and are known for their charting singles such as "You Don't Know What It's Like", "Home", "Surefire (Never Enough)", "All That You Are (X3)", "Make It Right", and "Dirty". Alice Cooper (born Vincent Damon Furnier, February 4, 1948) is an American rock singer whose career spans over five decades. The Ford E-Series (also known as the Ford Econoline or Ford Club Wagon) is a range of full-size vans manufactured and marketed by the Ford Motor Company. Introduced for model year 1961 as the replacement for the Ford F-Series panel van, the E-Series line is currently in its fourth generation. Produced in multiple design variations for both retail and commercial sale, the E-Series was developed as a van for either cargo or passenger use, and as a cutaway van chassis and stripped chassis (a chassis without bodywork). Collide (band)
Collide is an American industrial music duo formed in Los Angeles in 1992, that has incorporated elements of trip hop, synthpop and music from the Middle East into their sound. The name comes from the 'collision' of musical styles, primarily the ethereal vocals provided by kaRIN and the electronic music provided by Statik. Collide's debut album, '' Beneath the Skin'', was released in 1996, followed by a remix album, ''Distort'', in 1998 containing remixes by artists such as Kneel Cohn of the bands Spirits In Sin and The Dead Stars On Hollywood. Dissatisfied with the music industry, Collide started their own record label, Noiseplus Music, and in 2000, they released their second studio album, ''Chasing the Ghost''. He has played in the early Canadian hardcore punk band The Unwanted, the skate punk band SNFU, and the industrial alternative rock band Econoline Crush. Career Fleming began his career in 1980 with the Winnipeg-based band The Unwanted, an early staple of Canadian hardcore punk. With Fleming on bass, The Unwanted issued several releases, including the ''Shattered Silence'' LP issued on BYO Records in 1984. The band broke up the next year. They reformed decades later with singer Norm Simm and new musicians. Following a move to Vancouver, Fleming played in several bands, including Grey Skies, with Devin Townshend.
