Ken Fleming (musician)
Ken Fleming (born October 23, 1962 in Winnipeg, Manitoba) Chris Walter. ''...What No One Else Wanted to Say''. Vancouver: GFY Press, 2012, pp. 237 is a Canadian punk rock musician. He has played in the early Canadian hardcore punk band The Unwanted, the skate punk band SNFU, and the industrial alternative rock band Econoline Crush. Career Fleming began his career in 1980 with the Winnipeg-based band The Unwanted, an early staple of Canadian hardcore punk. With Fleming on bass, The Unwanted issued several releases, including the ''Shattered Silence'' LP issued on BYO Records in 1984. The band broke up the next year. They reformed decades later with singer Norm Simm and new musicians. Following a move to Vancouver, Fleming played in several bands, including Grey Skies, with Devin Townshend. ''Never Trouble Trouble Until Trouble Troubles You'' is the eighth and final studio album by Vancouver hardcore punk band SNFU. It was released in 2013 by Cruzar Media. The record was released nine years after the band's previous album, ''In the Meantime and In Between Time''. It was their only output recorded without co-founding guitarist Marc Belke, the sole release from the SNFU lineup led by singer Ken Chinn and guitarist Ken Fleming spanning 2007 to 2013, and the final studio album to feature Chinn before his death on July 16, 2020. Ken Chinn
Kendall Steven Chinn (October 19, 1962 – July 16, 2020), known under the stage name Mr. Chi Pig, was a Canadian punk rock vocalist and artist born in Edmonton and long residing in Vancouver. He fronted the hardcore punk band SNFU from 1981 until their hiatus in 2018. Other, short-lived groups that he led included The Wongs, Little Joe, and Slaveco. Chinn was an energetic vocalist, prolific artist, and sardonic lyricist. He was also an early advocate for queer identity in punk rock. The Devil You Know (Econoline Crush Album)
''The Devil You Know'' is an album by the industrial alternative rock band Econoline Crush. It was released in Canada in June 1997 by EMI, and in the United States in March 1998 by Restless Records. While they are still only popular in Canada for the most part, this album helped to increase Econoline Crush's exposure in the United States more than their previous album. Tracks 12 through 22 of the album are silent; track 23 consists of a Biblical passage ( I Corinthians 13:4-8) recited in Japanese. Touring and promotion Econoline Crush spent a year on the road supporting the record. They performed with artists such as Green Day, Foo Fighters, The Tea Party, Alice Cooper, and Kiss. Devin Townshend
Devin Garrett Townsend (born May 5, 1972) is a Canadian singer, songwriter, musician, and record producer. He founded extreme metal band Strapping Young Lad and was its primary songwriter, vocalist, and guitarist from 1994 to 2007. He has also had an extensive solo career and has released a total of 28 albums across all of his projects as of 2022. After performing in a number of heavy metal bands in high school, Townsend was discovered in 1993 by a record label who asked him to perform lead vocals on Steve Vai's album ''Sex & Religion''. Industrial Rock
Industrial rock is a fusion genre that fuses industrial music and rock music. It initially originated in the 1970s, and drew influence from early experimental and industrial acts such as Cromagnon, Throbbing Gristle, Einstürzende Neubauten and Chrome.
